Hi, has anyone done a motor shop for Grass Roots before? This is my first job for them - suprised at the fee, there must be a catch somewhere. Is there anyone I can PM with a few questions please?

    Anyone......?

I've not seen these jobs, but if you PM me the fee and a rough idea of what the job involves I can give you an idea of whether there is likely to be a catch. Only real bad catch I can think of is if there is a credit check involved somewhere.

Have you read the briefing notes fully? It will include any 'catches' somewhere, I would guess either there is a credit check or you are not just doing one shop and are actually doing a "cluster", which means you'll be out all day driving around different places (possibly with quite a wide radius) doing the same scenario at each one. Either way the briefing notes will state this.

    A more random question...

My mobile is in a massive need of an upgrade to one of these touch screen things. For those who own one, are they capable of accessing the websites such as RE and able to read the assignment notes (pdf) and then assign the job.

Or do you need to have a computer/laptop to be able to access the RE and gap websites etc?

How long do AA tend to take to pay? Did a job for them on 10th May and nothing yet.

When I did one in early March got paid on 15th March I think (definitely quicker than this anyway)

Ages ;) not one of my favourites to work for!

Yep, it's down and I desperately need to double check which location of a phone shop I'm supposed to be doing this afternoon.

GfK's insistence on knowing what time slot you'll do an assignment in really annoys me, I much prefer the companies that just give you a date range, or even just make you pick a day.

Tbh I ignore the timeslots, I have a guess at roughly what time I'll do it and if it's in the middle of two timeslots I pick the later one, then submit the report regardless. Never had a problem.

When I spoke to someone on the phone the other day and I said I wasn't sure about the time slot I would do it in, she said she would put me down for the later one and if I did it earlier it wouldn't matter. I don't know if that's true for all of them.

Do React give scores for all of their reports or just some of them. I've been waiting a while for a score to appear, but nothing. It was my first one, so I was curious about how I'd done.
