Oh, that's a bit long
I can understand the hotels one as staying in a hotel isn't something you do every day and they'd probably recognise you if you did it every month, but with fast food/quick-service food places they must get loads of people who go in at least once a week so they won't find anything suspicious in the same person coming in and buying a sandwich around once a month, in fact they most likely wouldn't even remember you'd been in before.
I suppose it's in case you have to give out a voucher, as then they'd know you were the shopper whilst you're still there and would be making an effort to memorise what you look like so they can look out for the future, and it'd take about 6 months for that image to go from their mind and not come back when you walk into the shop.0 -
The voucher is possibly the reason it's so long.
However you would be surprised how many staff remember you. It is possible to do a gap burger every month (for a few months at least until the annual limit kicks in). Try it, I can guarantee that you will be recognised by the third or fourth time you go in/drive thru! They also have a list of reg numbers pinned up apparently although I reckon by the speed they used to notice you in the queue that they have ANPR and they can flag numberplates. I know at least 2 in the Glasgow area have ANPR in the car parks.
Also I was sussed a month or so ago and treated to the DIY store version of the GAP burger floor show and it was only the 4th time I had visited the store in 18 months. I was sussed walking accross the car park and MOS dropped his hose and ran into the shop to warn staff I was here.
The time period does seem long though but it's probably been requested by the client. Didn't GAP used to have them? Maybe there was a rotation problem, although gap would probably have given you the Spanish archer by the time it got to that!
I'm totally depressed! I have just watched a man win £62,000 and complain that he wished it was more. Some people don't have a clue0 -

Am thinking the underground sandwiches stop at 52, I could see them until then and so could my OH, had nothing since I sang Happy Birthday to him last year :rotfl:0 -
Has A-bai put May work up yet? Did I miss it?0

Is anyone else having a problem getting on to the Gap website? Google Chrome is saying that it's unsafe to go on as it may have been hacked :eek:0

Lovin it, and then some more :rotfl:0 -

Think phones stop at 40. Don't know when underground sandwiches stop.
I'm 46 and can see underground sandwiches. Have seen phone shops but not for a while. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

So why don't I get to see underground sandwiches? The shops exist round here - I have seen them. Have I failed a sandwich test without noticing :rotfl:?0 -

I have only ever seen one underground sandwich and wondered whether now I'm 39 it might have gone, but it could be rotation. So do I need to do lots of phone shops before next year. Have you seen phone shops over 40? Or do different phone shops do different things? Surely even over 40 you need a phone and would be more likely to have a bit more money, well some people would, when you're older.0
