Quiet here with just my regular jobs to do, unless something else turns up in the mean time.
Not too fussed though as it's the school holidays and I'd rather stay home with my bairns. Here I go again on my own....0 -
You can tell we're all quiet - even the thread has tumbleweeds.
On the plus side, I had to drop a visit last week, someone picked it up, dropped it and I re-allocated it to myself and did it this morning.0 -
Yes but the touch has to be in a free wifi area to be able to connect to the internet otherwise you cant surf the web on it. If you are looking to pick up jobs on the way that makes it more difficult.
I have an iPhone and I love it - battery life beats the BB hands down IMO. I had a storm and I liked it but the battery life was awful.
I have my email alerts configured to my iPhone so I can check jobs on the way - great if a short notice job comes up and you are in the area anyway.
ipod touch is totally brilliant for the price, and yes you said it needs wi-fi but everywhere has wi-fi now, go to nearest McDonalds, wetherspoons,Starbucks and it's free and plenty of none security networks. Great battery too. Really don't think I could do mystery shopping without it. And only paid £129 for my ipod touch4. Phone contracts scare me, happy with PAYG, spend around a fiver a month.
Although the most expensive phone on the market now is actually the Sony Experia play, lovely phone/psp.0 -

I was in the Apple shop yesterday and they told me that they do contracts with the iPad (I didn't ask about the iTouch). The contracts are with Orange and O2. Or you can sign up for PAYG with 3 Network.0 -
Orange is giving them away for 25.00 on a contract or free with other contracts0

I'm a fan of the ipod touch too. Take it out with me and check email when in a free wifi area. My phone is pretty basic, but it does what I need when used in combo with the ipod.
Just don't buy doodlejump or fruit ninja for it. Way too addictiveJanuary 2012 GC £296.96/£3000 -
Tern processing payments today, so hopefully will have it by Friday0

I've been assigned my first trailer check for first tracking after years of trying woohoooo! Do I just need to go to one screening between the times stated or all of them? I know it will say in the paperwork but I need to know today so I can organise my weekend jobs! Are they fairly straightforward and do you tell the cinema or do it covertly?0

They are overt, and you have to watch every reel that the cinema has.
I posted this the last time they came on, so hope it helps you! Here's an example from my local cinema -
The Film
(12A - 1:38 mins)
11:20am, 11:50am, 2:15pm, 2:45pm, 4:45pm, 5:15pm, 7:15pm, 7:45pm, 9:45pm, 10:15pm, 12:05am, 12:35am
The Film [DIRECTOR’S HALL]
(12A - 1:38 mins)
12:20pm, 3:15pm, 5:45pm, 8:15pm, 10:45pm
You can see that the film is 1hr 38mins long, plus the trailers, so you're looking at just over 2 hours.
Based on this you know that if Reel number 1 is being shown at 11:20, then there must be a Reel number 2 at 11:50 as they're showing at the same time. There is also another showing in another screen at 12:20 which again is going to be showing at the same time as Reel 1 and Reel 2 so this one is Reel 3.
By the time 14:15 comes around Reel 1 will have had time to play through, so the cinema will be using Reel 1 again.0
