I have to admit in this period I check this thread a bit less often because I am obsessed with the Tesco price checker thingmie and I noticed some colleagues from here are there as much as I am!:rotfl:

If you earn under about £15K (I think!) you can do your accounts on accrual or cash basis.

As long as everything gets reported, they don't mind which method you use.

I use cash accounting just because I find it easier to follow.

I asked my ex-boss (company accountant) about this and she said either is ok, so long as you are consistent and do the same thing each year.

    Thank you :)

I am actually an accountant in some previous existence so did think it was OK either way and that being consistent was important, but wanted to check here too. I will probably go for cash received as my spreadsheet has a column for cash received and I always feel until I have been paid that it isn't totally mine.

Must be nice though to have something else to obsess about!!!
Although you're still checking the Alerts!! :D

At least you're busy for a while though so when you're back in the game, your rotational periods may have passed for some jobs.
How is everything going with the house?!?

Nightmare at the moment. The house is totally gutted but should hopefully be comming togather over the next week and be very nice. Don't think it would be so bad but actually spending all my savings i've made from MS on the house (until my mum pays me back cos the sale of my grandma's building fell through and she was giving us 20k as a 'advance inheritance lol) Dont ask!

Anyone doing the second round of RE chemist audits? The list has tripled but the fee had only gone up 50%!
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

Yes me! The jobs are actually ok, the products are all identifiable by a green spot on the price tickets but as for the on line report..absolutely ridiculous. I have 10 to do, did 2 last night and dreading submitting the others tomorrow night. Let me know what you think!

I do mine on line and will do it in a few days time (as they will owe me tax I do it as quickly as I can).

If yours is just for MS then it doesn't matter if it waits a while although I can see your wanting to do it as quickly as possible to get it over with.

I'm also planning to do it online, but I'm guessing the code/login will be on the form they send out so wondered when I'd get it to be able to log on and fill everything in.

I think you register for online entry and they send you a login, it's not on the return itself.
