Hello everyone,
I think this thread has pretty much answered this question, but is REACT worth persevering with? I joined a couple of months ago and haven't had any applications accepted. Is it worth doing a rubbishy no-profit one just to get my rating up? Or is their allocation system so screwy and/or are there too many shoppers on their books so that it's not worth it?
I think I'm particularly frustrated as I have a high rating on another site.
Thank you0 -

I signed up to REACT in February and have done two jobs for them and have another one to do tomorrow. I think it just depends exactly where you are and how many other MS there are in your area. I keep getting pipped to the post for GR jobs but managed to get one yesterday.0 -
Can anyone tell me when they'll send out the self-assessment forms for the tax year just gone? Not expecting to have it yet with today being the first day of the new tax year but wondered when to expect it. I've got everything worked out in Excel ready and don't owe any tax.
I do mine on line and will do it in a few days time (as they will owe me tax I do it as quickly as I can).
If yours is just for MS then it doesn't matter if it waits a while although I can see your wanting to do it as quickly as possible to get it over with.0 -
Due to other work I do I submit a tax return anyway and always end up getting a tax rebate due to the nature of employed work where I get charged too much tax so I like to complete it as soon as possible.
Do people tend to complete their returns on an accruals basis ie accounting for the jobs as they are done or on a receipts basis ie when you get paid? I have a few jobs completed this tax year that I won't get paid for until after tomorrow and was wondering how people tend to do it.
I don't suppose that HMRC are going to get terribly excited about my MS earnings but wouldn't want to do it wrong. Am pretty sure it does mention something about it on the tax return but thought I would ask here first.0 -

I've only done my first just gone but I find that i do it based on what i have DONE. If you mess about with waiting for payments i find it got more complex as it them had to be sorted in the next tax year.
But as far as i'm aware, if somebody doesn't pay you (for whatever reason) you can sort that out in the next tax year as well.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

If you earn under about £15K (I think!) you can do your accounts on accrual or cash basis.
As long as everything gets reported, they don't mind which method you use.
I use cash accounting just because I find it easier to follow. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Must be nice though to have something else to obsess about!!!
Although you're still checking the Alerts!!
At least you're busy for a while though so when you're back in the game, your rotational periods may have passed for some jobs.
How is everything going with the house?!?Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700
