Can anyone else see burger place on gyp, they have disappeared off mine and wondering if they have fired me and not told me! I had a moan today about lack of profit what with the price of a meal and petrol! They have left me the ones that they begged me to do though!

They're all still on mine- no-one does them here as there's no money in it at all, once you pay petrol and time for going/filling in forms

That was basically what I said today, they didn't sound impressed! funny cos I seem to be the only one in the area that ever does them that should make it fun for them! Oh well 2 years without getting fired was quite a long run! Lucky they are just fillers! Thanks for looking
  • Just back from doing a secret eating place in Carlisle and I feel so sorry for the poor lass who served me tonight. From chatting with her at the end of the meal it was her first night. She was really friendly and chatty but you could tell she was as nervous as hell. How unlucky can you get? Being MS'ed on your first night.

But what's the point if it costs you money? I do this to earn a living, not to make me worse off!

Some people only do it (or some visits) purely for leisure. For example I had a lovely meal with my partner this evening that cost £80 but will only have to pay £30 of it. Even better as I had to go to Carlisle today with work so they paid for the petrol.

I need reminding of this, too. Next time RE offer reimbursement only video gaming places I will be first to ignore. Not even ebay will save me from todays loss

I agree with you on this. These are only worth doing if you're going to buy something in there anyway (i.e. a pressie). Otherwise the reimbursement is almost impossible to keep within.

I still can't see why we can't get a giftcard. It means the money would be going back to them and almost certainly be added to as well!

I did a gap pizza 3 years ago at lunch time. Straight after it had opened. And was served by someone working their first ever shift, with us their first ever table! Mind you, the training was clearly fresh in the memory as they enthusiastically congratulated us on every menu choice we made: "Excellent choice!" "That's my favourite too" etc...
