You can apply for JSA if you work less than 16 hours but thats not the same as getting it. It depends on what money you earn. Twenty quid an hour would be £320. No chance you're going to get JSA.

If you're self employed then there may be weeks or months that you dont get any work. You could sign on for JSA then. Happens with other self employed workers in other industries. As long as you've paid your contributions and meet the requirements. But, as I said, I think it's not just about when you work but when you get paid as well.

Until they email you tomorrow to say that actually the receipt is a tad blurry after all!

If they do I'll just email them back with a clear copy!

I've been MSing for 2 weeks, and seemed to be on a roll with it. I've done three for RE, and I've got two more scheduled. In each case they processed my report really quickly, although I found out today they have disallowed my first ever assignment as I did not ask a location specific question. I could have argued that the requirements were too vague, but it wasn't worth it. I'm on a bit of a downer now, I had been getting full marks for my reports too.

Feel bloated from all the GAP food too, heh.

Honestly it's not worth the hassle. Live and learn. I think the brief is quite clear for these though, and there is a specific question about it in the questionnaire. Unfortunately these companies will use any excuse to not pay you.

I made the mistake once of not asking if there was a toilet in my local petrol station. I know there isn't a toilet, but because I didn't specifically ask I didn't get paid. Lesson learnt.

How did they know that you didn't ask?

    Ouchy!

The venue was at a train station, there were no examples of such questions, if I'd asked the member of staff when the next train was coming, I'm pretty sure she would have just shrugged and said "I dunno, I just sell coffee".

I'm sure there is still some merit in my report, especially as it got top marks so soon after. Hmph. Definitely will be chalking that one up to experience.

I thought about giving the food to homeless people after I've tasted it lol.:rotfl:

Same - it says I've fulfilled my quota when I haven't, as it's for next month. E-mailed them to no avail.

I did the train stations as well- there are loads of questions! Where is the nearest public loo, where is a cash machine, do they know which is platform whatever, which direction is a local landmark in, where can you buy cigarrettes locally, etc. A question about the train timetable wouldn't count, as it isn't local knowledge, it is train timetable knowledge, if that makes sense.

Me and my other half have both just tried to apply for a couple, and all got rejected. Even ones he's never done before so can't be due to rotation rules or anything!
Will try again now if you've just had it work ok Kitty!
