Some of you may know I have 4 kittens that are around 6 months old now.
From the beginning, Fred (tabby with white markings)was little ermmmm "different".
He eats anything and everything - apart from dry cat food/dry cat treats.
He goes absolutely mad for raw meat (any raw meat) , he likes moist cat food - so far normal enough.
BUT - he goes for things like raw mushrooms, raw brocoli, cooked rice, cous cous, tomato and beetroot soup (yeah, straight from the pot)
He likes bread, croisaints....opens bread bin and had a bread party on the kitchen floor....
Yesterday he nicked my corn on the cob from a plate and run with it into the hallway GROWLING at the dog and other cats
He is the biggest of all 4, weights about 1kg more than each of the other cats.....
I need to look up things that may be harmful to cats as there is no place he won't get into once he sets his little kitty heart on something to eat and he really wants it....
Sigh......
Phoebe (black with white markings) has developed sudden love for dog food and standing on her back legs just about reaches the raised dog bowls - apart from that she is quite normal.
George (ginger) - he THINKS he feeds of Zara the GS dog. Sucks on whatever he can - sometimes her foot or tail and falls asleep like that.
Fiona (silver tabby) is normal... she eats cat food and ocassional treat/raw etc but does not go mental for things as Fred does...
George, Phoebe, Fiona - all eat dry cat food (Taste of the Wild) and cans (bozita, PAT own too). Fred will not touch any dry food.
4 cats - 4 characters......
Below - Fred with a mushroom and Phoebe at the dog dish.....George with his "mum" etc......
And all with moist cat food LOL

And not long ago they were al so tineyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Part of me envies you for your 4 lovely kitties - the other part thinks, thank god I'm not having to deal with adolescent cats.
Piggy cat likes (doesn't get given but will steal) potato peelings; chips; pizza crust; fruit cake; any and all meat - raw or cooked; rice cakes; carrots; all dairy products - even butter/margarine; dolly mixtures; sultanas; pretty much everything.
Demon cat is fussy - likes wet cat food not biscuits; some cooked fish - never raw/tinned; is more likely to play football with cooked chicken / meat than eat it but will rip your hand off to get hold of a chewy cat stick treat and will occassionally eat dog biscuits/food - although this is usually a prelude to being violently ill over carpet / clean washing in protest of being given wrong flavour cat food to start with!
Dippy cat eats dry food only. Will have a little cat milk but only a tiny amount. He gets very very excited if he thinks he's going to get something different - e.g. a dinner plate with scraps of gravy etc - unfortunately he usually spends so long prancing about in excitement that by the time he focuses enough to have his treat, Piggy has already wolfed the lot!0 -
LOL - Fred is like that, greedy beyond any reason... eats his food and finishes off the other 3 dishes... he GROWLS at all 3 cats AND at the dog...uffffff
No wonder he is so much bigger than the rest.....
Here, Fred - all picture of pure innocence....
And here the same Fred ... not-so-"not guilty".. checking what I am putting into the fridge....0 -
Awww you have confirmed my terror isn't mad! He eats anything... Including plastic bags. We have to use reusable ones or he eats them - and even those he likes to sit in.
Weirdest thing boots eats has to be naan bread warm from the oven.
Your pictures have really brightened up my day as I am waiting for a funeralIf you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
JUst to say - aren't they all BEAUTIFUL!!0
-
Gettingready you have a baby version of my boots in your first photo... I will post a photo when I am home, as he's quite the handsom little man... Butter wouldn't melt as he'd eat it first! If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0

My Marley and Jojo are the same. Caught Jo tucking into a triple layer chocolate birthday cake yesterday! I wouldn't mind, but I hadn't had any yet.
We got a rescue ShihTzu about 6 weeks ago. She's 12, and soppy as anything, but had never lived with cats. No worry.. Marley soon told her what to do..
Preparing to lick
Licking..
And puppy love
Sadly, this always takes place on my lap whenever I dare to sit down.
(Please excuse half naked boy in background!)
Marley will literally eat anything. Leaves, raisins, cucumber, chicken food.. his absolute fav is nicked chocolate buttons from ds' snack after lunch.
Your animals are adorable!0 -
Oh LOL Marley is quite similar to my Phoebe - she was suposed to be called Felix , we thought she was a little boy, turned out to be a girl though.....
Phoebe in full grlory....
.... when she was tiney - with Fred and Zara...
And now, when she is a big girl....0 -
What lovely pictures!
My cat, Angel is quite fussy and will ONLY eat Purina dry food. She will lick the gravy off of the meat in pouches, but leaves the meaty chunks behind.
The weird thing she likes is coffee. If I'm not carefull, she will have her head in my cup and lap it up. I mentioned it to the vet, who suggested switching her to decaf!
When I make a cup, she comes running and sits as close as possible, trying to get some, sometimes pawing at my hand.0 -
Cats eating inedible things is called Pica. One of my cats is obsessed with plastic bags and we have to be quick when we get back from shopping or he'll be there chewing away. I have to keep them in the cupboard out of the way (well any that don't have cat saliva on.) I've also had to take bits of bag out of his mouth a few times (scared what would happen if it went round his intestine). He'll come running if he even hears a plastic bag. Apparently, most plastic bags are made using animal fats and that's what is attracting him.0
