If i were you and it is affecting you so much, i would do it. Just think how good you will feel when you turn the tables on them.

if they call to ask to arrange an appointment to come and see you , ask if there is a charge if they turn up and your not in , if they say yes , reply to them stating if no one turns up you will be sending them a bill for your time , the bill should be the total of the debt !!!!! think they will back down !!!!

hahaha so glad I read this... had a letter today saying they WILL be calling on Tuesday 16th at 10.00 am to discuss the legal pending case... blah, blah, blah!! Well, I won't be in anyway and I'm certainly not taking the time off work to wait in for them..... and I'm unaware of any pending legal case!!! They can take a hike as far I'm concerned.... I have a debt but it's not to them!!
