I have today received an Appointment Notice from Daniels Silverman saying a commercial investigator is coming on Thursday at 1pm to discuss the pending legal case on behalf of their clients!! PLEASE ADVISE!!!

The chances of them turning up are as likely as HRH Queen Elizabeth coming too!

If they do turn up you can simply say Foxtrot Oscar, they have as much authority to come to your home as I do, you wouldn't pay me would you?

Thanks for your reply, I am getting a bit nervous about this!! As it happens nobody will be in when they say they are coming!!

If the letter does say, when examined closely, that they will come then report them immediately to the CSA and include a copy of that letter. Copy the complaint to the OFT. Doorstepping without an appointment is outside the bounds.

If people do not complain to the official bodies then nothing will done so please take positive action.

This is what I sent to someone chasing me for a debt to EON that didn't exist as it was paid years ago, Basically its illegal for them to turn up without an appointment, not that they will anyway

There is an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.

Police attendance for what ? Trespass is a civil tort.

The mere threat of an unagreed visit is enough of a transgression, see the OfT documentation.

They stated a date and time! At the bottom of the letter it said to phone to confirm or to reschedule for a more convenient time!!!

What are you getting so het up for? It is only writing on a piece of paper designed to frighten you and it appears it's working.

You have got to understand that a PPC scum will stop at nothing to try and get money out of you, they are just pure utter scum and the lie's on their paperwork confirm that.

Do you really think anyone will knock on your door? tell me, when was the last time you heard of anyone getting a visit from a PPC scumbag? It just DOES NOT HAPPEN, it's doing what it's mean't to do and that is put the frighteners on you.

Now you have the paperwork there and advice from other posters, get your own back and take THEM down the legal route for harrassment as it is obviously working on you. The ball is in your court now, if you want to get back at them for the anguish they are causing you,do it. You will find plenty of guidance on here and around the net to get the ball rolling.

Then you will see just what scumbag liars they are when the boot is on the other foot.

If i were you and it is affecting you so much, i would do it. Just think how good you will feel when you turn the tables on them.
