    Well how about this for a result...

    They called me today to say they'll be sending me a 32GB at no additional cost! They were probably fed up with my moaning to Customer Services.

    I asked if I could keep my current one (hoping I could sell it on Mazuma or something) but they said a courrier will do an exchange when it arrives.

    Apple will need your older model back. If it's not sent back, Apple will bill you for the new handset. Make sure that when the old one goes back to keep proof that you have sent it.
