Would you ask someone out?

It seems like generally when a woman asks a man out it turns into a fairly lengthy healthy relationship. Maybe it's because women are selective in who they ask out or maybe the guys who are too shy to ask themselves are an untapped potential of quality boyfriend material. Who knows?0

i approached hubby, vaguely knew him to say hi to previously, he was at a table with about 10 of his mates in a pub, i went up to him, put my arm around his shoulders, said "I love you!" He replied "oh do you?!" Been together 15 years, married with 2 children! i was sober too!0

Well just got an email back. He`s been married twice and divorced twice and `semi living with a gf (?) ` At least he was honest. Would like to meet for a drink and hopes that I would still find it worthwhile. Also homing two of his kids for half the week and alternate weekends. Asked whether I would want son to know.
I`ve said that I`ll meet him sometime for a drink but making it clear that I`m not messing where someone else is involved and no wouldnt mention it to my son as there has to be privacy and lack of embarressment at his work and I would hate him to be caught up in this. I`m glad I asked but would only do a driink on friendly terms. Know what it`s like to be hurt and not prepared to do it to anyone else.......0 -
I've asked a guy out once when I was around 20yrs old. I met him at a funeral of all places and couldn't stop looking at him! He was a friend of my brothers, so I stole his number from my brothers phone and sent him a text! We went out for the night, had a fantastic time and that was that! Never seen him since, it was my only one night stand and I'm glad I had the experience before I become old and boring!!
Thats my little story anyway! Good luck OP!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Learn from other women's mistakes.... he's divorced twice, and is more or less living with someone ( whether he's admitting it outright or not - she probably thinks they are!)
I'd steer clear, you sound too nice to be someone's bit on the side!!;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Very good advice! And I`m glad someone thinks I`m `too nice`! I may be brazen but I`m not a bit*ch!0 -
Yes, I've asked a chap out. He said no. I was a bit crushed but it was only my pride that was bruised not my heart! I'd advise any lass with a crush to do likewise - and ask as soon as possible because waiting and what-if-ing will make it harder to ask and more painful if the answer's no.
"Semi living with a GF" though? Sounds complicated, be wary!0 -
Doesn't have to be an official "date" - I invited my now-husband along to an already-arranged day out with some other friends. So technically, yes, I "asked him out".0

Where are all the women who meet all the guys who go out, have a drink and end up in bed together ? It seems as though they are cowering under the table !0
