Would you ask someone out?

Just curious to know as to whether other MSE people would ask someone out. It is quite ingrained in me not to ask first but I`ve come to the conclusion that if you dont ask you dont get!

Has anyone else (female) asked some one out or do they wait to be asked first!

Love to hear your views..........

  • i asked one man out for a drink.. that was 12 years ago and we plan to marry next spring!

We often talk about it and how it was so unlike me to do so. He has admitted on many occassions he wouldnt have had the guts to ask me as i can come accross as quite loud and outspoken and even tho he wanted to he was scared he would be shot down in flames! So, the moral of my tale is - go for it!

Being a fella, it is a real ego boost if a woman asks you out.
    Go for it!

    (if he doesn't accept...ask me. :D )

i once asked a man out, were now married with our first child on the way.
i must admit that was the only time in my life i have ever asked anyone out, i always thought it should be the man doing the asking.

I don't think I've ever directly asked a guy out - but I do drop some rather unsubtle hints :D

I invited a guy round for coffee one afternoon (just as a friend) -he was on his way from visiting relatives and had to almost pass my house-that was nearly 5 years ago and we married last year x

But you normally put them away again i take it :p
  • Same for me - I asked out a man and married him a year later. Nine years on, we are very happy!

He was going to ask me apparentely, but felt sure I would turn him down. I did it quite casually, just asked if he fancied a drink sometime. His reply was "I'd love to......when?" and he was really pleased and walked around with a big smile for the rest of the day.

    Go for it!
