i found with pampers and huggies, neither kept baby dry for the whole night. with supermarket own brand baby could have clean nappy on till bed , sleep all night and wake up in morning still nice and comfy and dry ( i had 3 good sleeper who slept all night from early age). pampers and huggies would split and the granules in side would come out of they would leak out the side. nightmare0

I've recently started using morrisons and asda value range of wipes. Both pretty good in my opinion.
Unfortunately can't seem to get on with cheaper brands of nappies. My favourite is the pampers baby dry, which we try to buy in bulk when on special offer. I try and buy when they are as close to 10p a nappy as possible. I find that buying the cheaper ones can be a false economy as they tend to bulk out/leak quicker, so I use more of them.0 -
when both of mine were small i used pampers but as they got bigger it was either boots or tesco's own, tried lidls pull ups but my youngest has no belly so they kept falling down. for wipes boots/tesco's or simple if on offer:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

I am not a fan of Huggies nappies or wipes, i don't really like pampers but the baby dry ones are okay when on offer i guess.
I buy Tesco, Lidl or Asda own branded nappies and find they are all better than pampers ( leak at night i have found). I stock up on the Johnsons baby wipes when on offer or buy the supermarkets own branded 3 for £3 or whatever the offer is x0 -
Using cloth diapers could be the best thing you can do for the environment. They are better for your baby, the environment and are cheaper than disposable nappies. If you are on a very low income or in receipt of benefits and you are about to have you first baby you may be eligible for a £500 Sure Start Maternity Grant. You can apply for this through your Jobcentre Plus. You can also spread the cost by starting to save when you're pregnant. If you can save £10 per week from your 12 week scan until baby is born, you'll have enough money to buy all the nappies your baby will need until they're potty trained! Check our website for more info.

Aldi wipes here; I recently changed from Pampers Sensitive wipes, and honestly the Aldi ones are better. 85p for 80 wipes, bargain.
Don't bother with Tesco value wipes, they're awful and you'll go through loads - total false economy.
I have always used Pampers nappies, but have heard Asda and again Aldi nappies are great.Go your own way..

As seen by the varied responses, I think you just have to try the different brands yourself until you find the brand that works for your child. They all seem to be slightly different shapes/styles/textures - I don't think there's any shortcuts to finding the ones that work best.
We are currently using Pampers Active Fit and Huggies Night-Time Pull-Ups. We couldn't use the Huggies regular nappies, as the weird elasticated bit at the back seemed to cause leaks. As for Pampers, the regular nappies are great (wouldn't use anything else, ever) but the pull-ups seem terribly bulky and badly fitting. Have tried Tesco nappies but they are even bulkier (more padded) than Pampers Baby-Dry. I think we tried several supermarket own brands but didn't get on with any of them.
We also use Pampers wipes. The various supermarket own brands are okay too, albeit thinner. The only brand we really didn't get on with is Huggies. In my experience, it's like trying to use soggy toilet paper as they just disintegrate when you try wiping with them. However, lots of people seem to like them!0
