Well, as a society we either lay down and accept very low moral and ethical standards, have no get up an go, take no personal responsibility for our actions and blame everyone other than ourselves for our failures.

Or...we live by very high moral and ethical standards, take full personal responsibility for our actions and blame ourselves when we fail and learn from our mistakes and improve ourselves.

The former is the world of "Blair's children".

The world of "Evoke" sounds too much like the law of the jungle for me to be comfortable with it. We are supposed to be a civilised society. The best way to judge that is by how we treat the weak.

In the specific case being discussed, spending a penny on some support now will save us all £'s in the long run. Isn't that a good use of resource?
