Solicitors fees are not actually that high on bog standard whiplash claims. I think it's £800 plus a percentage of the damages award, plus VAT and disbursements.

The MOJ fees are higher than that and when you consider how little the solicitor does to earn that, yes it is quite high. Whiplash claims are like Christmas come early for solicitors... easy money :)

They have just phoned me now... With a sum of £1600...

I have an appointment with Solicitors in morning, but any extra advice is always appreciated.

    Obviously don't accept!

    Await your solicitor's advice.
  • If I was you I would deal with them in the presence of your solicitors, if you are the passenger you can make a claim no mattter what. A no win no fee solicitor will take your claim on.
If the third party are interviewing you, then that means that they are looking for an escuse to not pay you. Even though you are perfectly inoccent you may something that is incriminating, or they will interpret it as "hes making it up".

The investigator contacted me, when he came round I answered his call and said I have a Solicitor so call them, then if they say you can talk to me then I will. and surely my solicitors said they are looking for an escuse and that they were not talking to them so why are they coming to me
