Anything I can do?

Hi I'm looking for some help or advice please.
My mum just lost her job the end of last year so is on Income Support and also carers allowance as she looks after my nan.
I only work Part time on 10p above minimum wage 16 hours a week and give my mum keep.
I have now been told by Income SupportI have to pay towards the mortgage on the house even though it's in my mums name, also the council tax has said I can starting paying them money too, so all in all on top of my keep they want like an extra £50 off me a month which will be a struggle and I don't think I can afford this.
Is this correct and is there anything I can do?
thanks

They have made a non dependent deduction from her benefits. How much are they asking you to pay?Gone ... or have I?0

You may be able to claim benefits yourself due to your low income. Speak to your council to see if you can claim Local Housing Allowance/Housing Benefit, and Council Tax Benefit.
However I'm not sure if you'll be able to claim HB/LHA when you're living with your mum.0 -

Or any other benefits as he is old enough to get a full time job instead of a part time one0

Thing is it's not even worth me waiting till I'm 25 and moving into my own place as Cameron is stopping housing benefit for over 25's from next year and will only pay for 1 room bed sit, The Council Tax want £19 a month which I don't mind but Income Support want £35 for the mortgage.0

You would have to pay more than that if you lived alone or in a shared house. Think of it as paying rent.Gone ... or have I?0
