Devere Parking Services counterclaim for costs

Apologies for the delay in the conclusion of this little tale but other things more important that DPS have kept me busy recently.
So the finale.
After Devere ran for cover 2 weeks before the hearing, when they finally realised that we were not going to be intimidated into paying up and they had no hope whatsoever of winning in court to enforce this ridiculous parking charge (primarily because it had no legal merit at all and was just pure bluff), they mistakenly thought they could mess my daughter and myself around for several months and then casually walk away.
Wrong.
We wrote straight back to the Court detailing all our costs and expenses down to postage, stationary and mileage; pointing out that DPS had lied, mislead and obstructed us and the Court in the course of this vexatious action and asking for reimbursement via a wasted costs order.
The Deputy District Judge, without further hearing, had no hesitation in awarding us costs of just shy of £350, which DPS meekly paid up. The total cost to Devere of pursuing this whole thing has been nearly £500 which I have to say does make me smile.
I now have an extensive file on Devere Parking Services who I understand are still going around Bournemouth and Poole, usually in a red X Type Jag with the personal number plate LEE, ripping off those poor unfortunates who through ignorance pay their unlawful invoices, so I reiterate that if you get a ticket stuck to your window by these people do not pay it, do not respond to their letters, they are just fishing trips (the mistake we made, as they then know they have the right address for the registered keeper) and if they should take a punt and issue court papers (£25 outlay for 10 times the return, not bad odds) then read up the subject on this and other websites and defend yourself. When they back down or lose it will then be your turn to go for them because these private parking charges are, at risk of repeating myself, unenforceable worthless scraps of paper when defended properly as this forum has shown time and time again.
Finally, I would like take the time to thank the Pepipoo members whose input has been both worthy and valuable in this small battle and to say that if anybody else has a problem with Devere Parking Services feel free to private message me and I'll be more than happy to assist.

Admit it son, the whole scam is collapsing around you and your cohort's ear's and you don't like it one little bit, not one bit. Tough.


People who have been reading but not posting on these forum's, please do, and just let us know that this forum, amongst others, as saved you paying money to scum. I sincerely believe these forums, here, pepipoo and cag and others picking up on the scam are now doing them some serious damage to the fraudsters income.

I sincerely hope they are staring bankruptcy in the face.

They deserve it.

Indeed they do.Having overheard (at my favourite PPC site) an APCOA employee boasting that their mobile CCTV van paid for itself in the first WEEK of operation ..I am really looking forward to the day when everyone wakes up and stops handing over the money... and the van and it's smug driver are consigned to the scrap heap. Nothing personal van driver but not only do you issue bogus scam tickets you also drive your van like a total knobhead and block the very road you are supposed to be helping keep clear !!!:mad:

A mobile CCTV van sounds possibly like a Council contract, if so don't expect him to be out of work too soon.:o

Nope I was referring to my favourite PPC infested site ..Luton Airport ..a private enterprise not council.
