You have assume I have any but I don't you have to Drive a car to get them and I don't.

you never answered my question, so I can assume from you not mentioning it you seem to believe it okay to break the law as long you state it is a mistake and it does not cost you. What a wonderful we all live in!

I sometimes break the speed limit and consider that 'o.k'.

I trust my own instincts ahead of the law as a rule, but I'm happy to use it as a guide and reference point. Clear enough? :)

They have a duty to know the law before driving, a Highway Code gives the basics.

    In theory, that's great.

But if you stopped 100 drivers I doubt many would know all the basics. That's the reality.

If you stopped a hundred drivers and asked them what the legal position, is vis-a-vis driving without a licence is, I am pretty sure they will all be able to answer it correctly.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

See my (real) example from a few posts earlier.

And what are the probabilities of finding that one driver in the one hundred you stop.

    No idea.

But in my experience it's not uncommon for people on a provisional to be confused over their driving rights. If your experience is different, that's fine.

Great argument "I do not break any laws beause I do not believe in them, I made my own up and keep to them, so you can't nick me Mr Policeman"

Why didn't any body else think of it First......A get out of jail free card!!!!!

I have to say I'm going through the motorcycle learning at the moment, and I'm confused as to what I'm allowed and what I'll be allowed to ride after doing whichever level test I choose to take!
I'm reading up before I set off, but I completely understand that a LOT of people wouldn't, or would take the word of someone who learnt ages ago before the laws changed.
    Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!

Didn't say that I don't follow (nearly) all laws OR that I don't agree with many of them.....just saying I trust myself ahead of the law in some situations.
