So you're still not going to tell us where it is then?0

I am sitting on the fence at mo and think both parties should share the blame.
But I do wonder why the OP wont post exact location...maybe he/she is a Troll0 -

must be a strange location, the path leading to the pool has a steep slope on both sides.
I wonder if the pool is on top of the hill or built at a slant.
I think the OP did say one end of the pool has no water in it while the other end was very deep.0 -
I sympathise with the OP. Get it all the time round here - e.g. yesterday, I was cycling fast through the centre of a park on a shared use track. Dog walker chucks tennis ball for dog ACROSS path right in front of me, causing me to plough on the brakes to avoid the following dog.
Two women with prams walking around same park on the path, but walking abreast blocking the whole path. Saw a family of 3 on bikes have to swerve round them into the muddy grass because, despite seeing the family, the women decided not to move. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

So it was a "shared" path
if you "ploughed on the brakes" you must have been going pretty fast0 -

I actually thought the OP was just a very silly teenager who still had a lot to learn until I read that he weighed 90 kilos and had a son of his own. I guess some people never learn :rotfl:0 -

Had you done it to one of mine you'd have had damage to both yourself and your bike.
Hang on, the OP said the child was unharmed and didn't even cry. But in a similar situation you'd have assaulted a person and caused criminal damage? That would be a nice lesson to teach your kids.0 -
I must admit, I move my kids to the side away from the cyclist, and then we make eye contact as well. They stop for me. But, if you had injured my child, I'd sue you personally for damages.
Under which law would you do that? I think if your kids were wandering around in a random way and there wasn't a specific 'no-cycling' sign then you'd get laughed out of court. Actually you wouldn't get there.0
