well well well well ... what a lucky few days we have been having .... yesterday there was the £20 find today ... well let me tell you about today

hypno would be very proud .... i brushed my hair i wore some heels and i put on wait for it .... make up ... yes wonders will never cease :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

we used our first groupon voucher .... we went to the place having booked a table for 7pm it was explained to us that they never expected the amount of people to use the promotion and had been flooded with over 1000 people signing up .... i was being all very understanding and saying yes it must be hard for you ( trying to get us off to a good footing) anyhoo we got our free glass of wine ( i drank alcohol for the first time in 3 years ... it was lovely) then we placed our order i had a sirloin steak ( £3 extra) and peppercorn sauce £1.55 extra) ... as they were very busy and having to take their time serving hubby proceeded to order two pints of lager and i ordered 2 large fresh orange and lemonades ....

the three course was delish ... i will be back ( and will gladly pay full price) really tasty ... better than any meal we have had for ages .... as we were waiting for ages as well hubby was looking to buy fags .... but the machine was gonna cost £6.50 so hubby bummed a fag off of a waiter ( very nice guy ... we chatted off and on all night to waiting staff)

anyway came time to ask for the bill ... the waitress arrived with a bill for the peppercorn sauce and said is that it ... we said no no we also had drinks steak etc ... she replied hey dont worry about that ... i said no i have money we can pay ...she said no it's ok dont worry .... just pay up there .... then she spoke to the maitre d ...

we proceeded up to the top to pay handed over our bill for £1.55 was charged £1.55 and chatted to maitre d expressing our enjoyment of the food ( it was genuinely lovely) then left ...

now we didnt try and hide anything ... we actually corrected the mistake and was informed that no it is ok ...

    very lucky couple of days

in other news ... today i got some weeding done .. got some courgettes, turnip and leeks planted ... got given a free packet of seeds and some glass from the neighbour ( gonna have a go at making a oh what are they called where you put the seedlings in to help them on their way ... cant remember)

have written all the banking up in the big red book so i know what we need to do for the rest of the month and thats about it

havnt been about much cause i have been busy dealing with things here ... nothing serious just the usual things that take forever and before you know it time has disappeared never to return

in other strange news ... hubby went out to put something in the garage ... in order to do so he had to move the black bin .... he found £20 underneath it ... now the £20 didnt just arrive there blown by the wind ... it was put there by someone and we dont know who ... hubby came in and asked me if i knew anything about it ... i dont ... dont understand it at all

truthfully gilligan i think they forgot to add it all to the bill .... and then couldnt be bothered to work it all out ... they were extremely busy .... with staff off etc i think a party of 40 or so had arrived 45 mins before and they were trying to deal with all that as well as the other tables ( the place was heaving ...

but the vanity in me would like to think my sparkling personality had a hand in it also:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

Helloo El - I am back in the UK and still have Florida stuff to send!! Would a book on intuitive eating be of interest to you? (like Paul McKenna but without the hypnosis and 'I am the expert, you are the subject stuff') ... let me know?

Simply fabulous (OK the 24hrs of projectile vomit and the subsequent ongoing 'tummy' probs were not the best, but did not affect the enjoyment of the hols).

Did Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Delhi, Night bus to Dharamshala, Service buses to Bir to stay on a tea plantation, back to Dharamshala via an audience with Karmapa, bit of a rest then night bus to Delhi, shopping and home :)

Anyone want a list of interesting places to stay in Northern India and I'm your girl!!!! (the cheapest was about £8 for a twin room and the most expensive was £40, the tea plantation was FB and for 2 it was about £15 each/day)

    Now planning next trip ...

p.s. Ta for the GP update, I stoopidly thought it was practice and turned over to watch Antiques Roadshow ...

sounds like you had an amazing time NL .... i have to admit i wouldnt mind going there one day myself ... not so happy to hear you had a bit of dehli belly though it really can be bothersome

the intuitive eating book ... yeah wouldnt mind having a wee read at it ... will return it to you once i am done

well i had along with my small glass of wine a wee cheeky amaretto ... not much at all ... essentially the dregs of a bottle that hubby was given for his birthday ..... woke up this morning ill ... i just cant handle drink any more ... the reason i gave up drinking was the money it was costing me ... but i stayed off drinking cause of the hangovers i got when i did .... thought last night literally having max 3 units of alcohol i would be ok ... nope ill ... pounding headache dodgy stomach .... i cant handle alcohol no more so i am back off it for i think the rest of my life

nothing much to report just yet ....

although i did recieve my payout from amazon so that has been put into where it belongs ( half savings half debt) and signature has been updated ...weve now paid over £1k towards the debt ... ok we still have over £59k to go .... but it feels good to break that barrier

just checked the bank accounts and i think i need to transfer some money from the savings as i have under estimated some money ( it is a fine balancing act)

    hope you are all good
