    Hi Elantan

Hope you dont mind me popping in :)

Just had a flick through your diary, the 100 month part really made me think about how much quicker I could pay my mortgage off if I could have find an extra couple of hundred quid each month. Iprobably could with a few sacrificies:). Good luck with your journey and everything else going on, have seen you give lots of advice and support on other posts so just wanted to wish you luck :) x

course i dont mind ya dropping in ... grab a chair and get comfy ... i might even dig out the jaffa cakes soon :D ... how possible would it be for you to do all you wish in 100 months finance wise?
thanks for the luck i will put it to good use

Elantan - For me it's not the healthy eating malarky that is important, it's the fact that I make a choice to eat or not and I decide just what will hit the spot (sweet/savory, soft/crunchy, cold/hot etc).

If I am eating to satisfy an emotion like anger, sadness, happiness, afraid, I know that ultimately food will not do it in the long term (it does wonderfully late at night when I need a hug and OH is away on business). Since I realise more that I use food as a support mechanism, it gives me the opportunity to choose to eat or do something different.

Why beat yourself up about not eating healthy food? Go for stuff you feel will satistfy your body's hunger and be mindful of the times when are not satisfying physical hunger ...

    NL x

(Do you want another book on this very subject to read in the pack of stuff that I haven't quite sent to you?)

ive looked at the issue of emotional eating ... and whilst i would say i was an emotional eater ... i am not an emotional eater in the common sense ... i dont eat crap cause i am angry etc ... i eat crap cause i have ( in the past) had so many things on that i have had to deal with that takes up my energy that i just need something fast ( and usually unhealthy) i need to not have to concentrate on is it a fast carb slow carb protein fat etc ... i need to not be thinking of getting my balances right ... i just need to eat something so that i can continue and get through what i need to ... that is going to have to change though ... it needs to

i love eating healthy i love veggies, fruit, good wholesome foods ... my body craves these foods ... i enjoy the health that these foods give me.... i dont like sugar ... i dont like unhealthy foods ... i dont like the times when i eat crap ... but i find myself in this cycle that as of yet i have been unable to break ... and that frustrates me beyond belief

if you feel the book would in anyway deal with this i would love to recieve it from you ... butti has very kindly given me a couple of books that i felt helped ... ( i will post them soon butti honest ... just still writting things down from them)

let me know what you think ? could i be missing something ? i know i have been at this for a long time and i know i want it sorted asap ... and i know it is like an onion for me ... it has many many layers that i am slowly working through .... and i know i need patience ... but i will get there
  • Will post the book up if you want :) I would recommend it as it explains everything in a factual manner-very easy to understand.

Don't rush....that's fine. I don't need them anytime soon, I have the Tao of Pooh and Tae of Piglet, and the Little Book of Calm. I'm sorted :D

I've also had my comfort food of choice tonight - mashed potato.
