I do get most done most days.. *shrug*
Don't forget 7 of the children are at school all day so it is only like I have one really.. and one is a walk in the park after having more than 1. It isn't difficult really.. I just need a bit of a kick to get me mving most days.. my batteries aren't what they used to be, especially in this vile weather which makes me hurt!

Hi all:hello:
Well just spent 2 weeks with one or all of family dying of flu so I haven't been doing anything let alone getting on here - and I've missed you all:sad:
Been dying to now how everyone is but I'm not going to look back and catch up until I'm on top of this bomb site again!
On the plus side the reason I was not getting anything much done before the "plague" hit us was because I had a chest infection not that I had become terminally lazy so that made me feel much better:D
so slow start for today
5 min whizz in each room (which will hopefully make a tiny dent in the piles of debris)
d/w
washing (please don't let it rain - we have piles and piles of washing to get done)
ironing - I'm going to do what I get dry & same amount on top so hopefully the piles of ironing will slowly recede
kitchen - 15 mins
kitchen sides
work - cash book
15 mins clearing some of pile on desk
and anything else I can manage
While I was feeling terminally lazy I did nearly all of my xmas shopping on line (wasn't so great when the parcels started arriving when the kids were off school though) so I have a fair bit of wrapping to get done as well
right I'm off - will be back later to report on my muck shifting activities:rolleyes:

I've had to come back on here for a rest
I've just had to re-arrange under the stairs AGAIN as I was given my grandparents dinning table & 4 chairs on Saturday and I haven't got the room ATM to have 2 dinning sets out :rotfl: I did have a flash of inspiration though...since I have 2 dining tables I can now tackle more of DD's doll's house in one go (Don't worry mum I'll use dust sheets!
) and when the dolls house is away I can use one of them to store the ironing basket & ebay boxes as an excuse for having both of them still
:D So after battling under the stairs to store 3 of the 4 new-to-us chairs (can't fit any more under there) and DDs pressies where she won't find them I've been through the ebay boxes and pulled out the 15 items that have sold :j £57 richer this morning. Now I just need to rest my brain for a little bit (plus my arms and back) before trying to sort out who order what and where it is being posted to.
Off to find an online game which I can play for 15 minutes while I have a breakCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
OK. If anyone who knows me sees that I have posted anything else today, please ask the Mods to have me banned.
I MUST finish using the cutting out/present wrapping table so we can once again actually see the TV.
A solid day's work beckons (after a cuppa and a piece of chocolate, obviously).

Ok you guys, not been on here for a long time and am interested in this thread. Not read all the others but after a busy w/e cleaning, this thread jumped up and slapped me in the face with the idea of it all.
So to get me started, I've got the micro cloths, stardrops etc months ago but am interested in your 'housework routines'. I don't go online much at home as I work FT and have so many evenings taken up with various activities that I only have weekend (Saturday/sunday pm) and Monday evenings to get things done, so unlikely that I could get on to this flylady site anyway. So any help here would be good.
Only me and hubby at home, Large Victorian/Edwardian 5 bedroom house to look after which has just had new kitchen/bathroom/utility room done (over last 3/4 years). I only wash when needed (sheets/towels done weekends) as I don't like to mix whites/coloureds I tend to have to wait till I get a decent amount to wash. Bathroom/utility room done weekly, but apart from that it's done as an when I get the chance. Vacuuming/dusting/washing floor/window cleaning gets done when it looks very iffy! (or I've visitors coming)
So then, does it get easier to do if you're into a routine and if you can't make the routine cos of other committments, how do you catch up?
Would be interested to read your ideas for me.
Thanks

welcome out of lurkdom 1sttimer.
I have no routine.. things tend to tun had long at me if I even try to make a routine, plus I get REALLY bored foing the same things day in day out.. so I improvise.
I have a daily list.. basically to remind myself what day it is and what needs to be done.
A weekly list.. usually about 5 things which I try to fit in Sunday-Sunday.. bigger jobs that don't need to be done every week.
And a monthly list.. Things I would like to get round to doing but if I don't they can wait a little longer.
I try to get the kitchen appliances on in the morning straight after dropping the gremlins off at school.. gives me all day to put away the clean dishes, get wet washing in the dryer and the dry stuff folded.
Anything extra I get done is a BIG bonus and I deserve a pat on the back and a big thumbs up lol.
I admit my problem is.. I am a lazy slob.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
