I tidied up the emergency fund - she said with dignity. I need to pack the tea pot - the £2 is the one in my purse! I used the rest to pay the butcher for a nice rib of beef.

I still have half the kitchen and the LR to do. DS1 is still feeling rough and is firmly entrenched on the sofa - not big enough for us both. DS2 is seeing how much mess he can make. How do I get damp play dough out of the carpet without waiting for it to dry and scratch it off? Also need to make a white choc cheesecake and merringue(sp?)roulade for tomorrow, might do a cappuchino cake as well. I like cooking for visitors so I don't mind.

Hex, recipe for cappuchino cake please, when you have a mo! A slice would be nice, too! Have a great time with your guests!

  • Quick technical question, do I need to subscribe to this new thread if I wish to continue to receive daily email updates? (Somedays it is the only way I can keep up) ~ I guess I will have to.

Just a small point, if you post on a thread you're automatically subscribed. ;)

A new thread - how exciting!

Welcome Dizzy - and well done on the weight loss!

I haven't been doing too well on the flyladying just recently, first I wasn't well, then we have been out & about a lot (France yesterday for shopping for example) which doesn't help with housework much. On the other hand, the place doesn't get too dirty if no-one's here.

But really I just wanted to be on here before it got to page 2!

Chipps - :naughty::naughty::naughty: you don't need to justify it to us. We completely accept that some people fall off the wagon sometimes. i believe even Punky did it once!! Doesn't matter. Fact is, you came back and you're still trying. :T :T :T :T :T You rock!

Is that the script for the TV ad (it's very good)

Nah, just did marketing & PR in a previous life and thought it would be nice to explain to newbies that other than chat we sometimes FLY  ;)

Think I'm about to fall off the wagon again after one of my best weeks ever. I'm depressed coz it's chucking it down and most of the rain seems to be coming through the top of the front door. Currently have front door open and bucket under the deluge. This happened a few weeks ago and the door warped and got stuck and hasn't even completely dried out. Anyway, asked DH to fix it and he didn't. Also can't be bothered with ironing pile from hell.

    Pass the chocolate someone...

PS TNG how do you quote more than once?
