was thinking I could get them to suggest some good resources to use for independent study as well????
Hey, I used to tutor Spanish and the BBC stuff was really good and loads was free. They also had a book and accompanying CD I told all the beginners to get - perfect for starters/home study...
...toddles off to have a look...

And looks like accompanying book http://www.bbcshop.com/languages/talk-portuguese-book+cd-pack-new-edition/invt/9780563520252/ but I think Brazilian Portuguese is a lot different to Portuguese they speak in Portugal so not sure how good this would be...but guess you have the real thing on hand to keep you on track0 -

Thanks for the tips - I could certainly do with an extra £1.50 right about now as my loan application was declined
Apparently I don't earn enough...so I am now going to end up using my overdraft to pay the deposit for our wedding venue...which may be for the best anyway, I like to think everything happens for a reason, but it just means I will be stressing over that until it's down to a more sensible level again
Bring on payday...I'm definitely wishing my life away this week too!
DNMS - I'm not big on languages so can't be of much help but just wanted to say what a lovely idea, your OH is very luckyHope everything is sorted with the banks now.

Nice one. Glad tis useful
I studied Spanish at uni and lived there for a while so tutored for a while after I finished uni. The agency I worked for finished up though - guy retired - and I never really got anywhere on my own - was difficult not working for a 'reputable tutoring agency':p and just someone who'd put a poster up IYSWIM.
Have fun with all of that! :T:T:T0 -

yup I agree perni keep the £1.50 it covers the wrapping paper/petrol driving to the po/your time etc etc
you know what I think it may be for the best (the loan that is) - I didn't want to say anything & be negative when you had made your decision and I know you wish you could get your hands on some cash quick to pay for ur wedding but getting a loan would mean you would end up paying £100s more in interest charges. At least with the OD u'll race to pay it off.
ur very sweet, and of course he is very lucky! x :rotfl:DF as at 30/12/16

I work in town & walk to the PO on my lunch break though& buy mailing bags, bubble wrap etc from Wilko's/Poundland!
I think you're right, it's just the worry now of the overdraft being wildly out of control again when we were doing so well to pay it off! My OH should have a nice amount of overtime paid at the end of March though which should help again, but this next month is going to be very, very tight. But hey, everything happens for a reason so I guess I should just go with it & do whatever I can to chip away at that OD, more ebaying is needed!
Hehe, I like your modestyx
