When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:j:j:j
Morning everyone! Where are you all this morning? Very rare for me to start the thread nowadays!
Anyway, motivational bit.......COME ON!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Today I have/will :-
- Check banking
- Keep an eye on ebay stuff
- Snacks and lunch from stores - Pasta I bulk cooked the other night
- HW is off!
- Will set tumble to run over night
- Try not to stress today, going to be another busy one I think
- Netball tonight, will take own water bottle
That's it!
Try and chill out a bit as I have a headache....:(
Jx

Arghhh DNMS for the first time I'm not wishing the week away and willing the weekend to appear:rotfl: I'm on my half term so loving every single day:T I also have loads to do, so the more days that whizz past without me doing any work means less time for me!!
So, up early (considering its hols) for me - off to hairdresser in an hour...still don't know what I'm asking for...do I go for full fringe? Later on I'm taking dd2 and her pal to the cinema, I'll wander round the shops while they're there.
Ok, list:- check banking
- check onepoll
- text for cinema 2 for 1 code
- buy sweets and drinks in Asda beforehand
- return 2 tops to Next
- small list of groceries to buy in Asda
- Mcds dinner for the girls...not sure about eldest and I...chippy maybe
- read Martin's email
- more essay work...made a small start last night

Good morning
Another one here who should post more often than she does
Few things happened lately which have meant our belts are being tightened even more.
So todays efforts are:
* Heating off
* Washing at 30'c
* Airer drying
* LSD - just need some milk
* Try and drive economically - bit of running round to do today
* Do any one-poll surveys that come through
* Investigate other survey sites (any recommendations???)
* Try and do some comps!

Morning
Feeling a bit sniffy and had a horrible nights sleep. But not feeling too bad at the mo, fingers crossed I will last the whole day.
Today I will:
[STRIKE]Walk to work[/STRIKE] - realised that I need to make 6 trips on the bus to make my weekly ticket worthwhile.
Check bank balances
Check surveys
Post Ebay parcels
Lunch of homemade soup and bread
Read Martin's email
Walk home instead of going to gym
Declutter
Realised it's hump day. Though this is not good as it means I have almost have had half my time with my DH at home.
Have a great day everyone

Working from home today, so must get a wriggle on as I want to nip out in my 'lunch hour':rotfl: (as if I've ever had one of those!)
Get euros from te$co
Pop to Mackr0 for some store cupboard bits

Move money around from various accounts so that all bills are covered as we are away over the 1st
Think that's it folks, have a great hump day everyone :T0 -
Morning everyone. Working away for the next couple of days so will get my meals paid for, and will take advantage of the free tea, coffee and toiletries in the hotel. I'm not actually sure how money saving me being away tho, as I'm sure that OH and kids spend more than they need to if I'm not there to keep an eye on the purse strings. I bet they have the heating on longer than necessary too!
Today I have/will
Take advantage of the hotel gym
Check online banking
Read Martin's e-mail
Get as much stuff as I can on my lunch allowance as possible, and eat as little as possible so I can take the rest back for the kids when I'm back home on Friday. I'll get it from Tesco too so I can earn clubcard points
Charge my phone on the train
Use a voucher for a free pint of lager at the Pitcher and Piano
Aim for a NSTICCOED (no spend that I can't claim on expenses day)Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0
