Buy a budgie then
We had them all the time when I was young, and one in particular was a genuis, it would do tricks and imitate you, fabulous wee bird. It flew out the window and never came home after one of my dad's idiot friends opened the window when it was out of its cage

Bitsy's allergic to cats. I am terrified of those too, but the budgies were OK.
