Apparently, all oily fish (obviously including mackerel) should be limited to 2 portions a week because they can contain pollutants like dioxins. Not sure exaxtly what dioxins are, but I had two miscarriages last year so like you I am not taking any chances! Also note that fresh tuna steak is an oily fish (but somehow the canned stuff isn't - not sure how that works :rotfl:) so if you have that, it's no more fish for the entire week!

I think it'll work... I eat fish no more then twice a week, and the 'rules' for a normal diet is no more then oily fish twice a week... so it'll all fit in around it I think.

Mercury it the toxin in tuna and sword fish!

I'm sorry to hear about the miscarriages x

My dog Molly stresses out when I get too close to Kids Dad IYSWIM!!!

She deliberately places herself between us and is at this moment lying on my bed in a most contented position that precludes anyone else getting close to me!!

Just catching up and sending hugs to you all. I have had a bad day or two. My eldest son is having difficulties again:( :( and it makes me feel really sad. My OS is minimal but moneysaving as I have not been out today.

    My boy dog's the same, as he's a spesh Mummy's boy:A;)
