LOL I made a conscious decision to buy Rich Tea biscuits rather than chocolate because I was "being good".

I found this book yesterday while searching for something else & after looking at the website think that almost all the symptoms of sugar sensitivity fit me exactly.
Has anyone actually started the plan yet & if so how are you getting on with it?
I would like to, no, need to lose a few stones in weight but my main focus is my mental health.
Diagnosed bipolar years ago & over the last 4 years or so my life's fallen apart completely.
A lot of the symptoms seem to be akin to sugar addiction, so has anyone found that their mood's different since doing it?

Are you cutting it out on your own, or using the advice of the book?
I was hoping that others would have posted about whether they found it any good.
I've ordered Potatoes not Prozac & Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Programme. The Last Diet You'll ever do or need or whatever it's called is expensive, so I'll try these 2 first.
Several years ago I cut out bread & pasta, not for any particular reason & I found that after 3 weeks I went down 2 dress sizes virtually overnight. My daughter said that it looked as if I'd had a pin stuck in me, as I seemed to deflate. :rotfl:
Unfortunately I didn't keep at it, at the time I thought that it was flour but having read some of the stuff over the last couple of days I think it may have been sugar, or the starch converting to sugar.
I will see how I get on & also update this thread.
It would be great to hear of anyone else's experience of this theory.

Ive got Potatoes Not Prozac and Sugar Addicts. You do NOT need the Your Last Diet book if you have these two. Save your money! There's hardly anything different in it - I did the online course from the website about 8 years ago.

I've not said much on the thread because although the books made total sense to me - and yes cutitng out sugar definitely helps my moods - I was unable to stick to it.
The key is definitely to do ONE STEP AT A TIME just like she says in the books - I didn't , I just raced ahead and failed.

    Good luck!

I don't drink/smoke/take drugs, but my one vice is food. I'm addicted to junk and would love to improve my eating habits. I do eat plenty of fruit, veg etc, but this is in addition to the crisps & chocolate, so I end up eating far too much most days. I managed to give up certain foods for a few weeks a month or two ago, but found myself craving them and gave in and bought more :o. I could do with losing a few pounds having put on around a stone in the last couple of years, but I was quite skinny (ill looking) before so don't want to lose too much weight! Hopefully it can improve my somewhat dodgy mental health too :)

I've ordered Potatoes not Prozac off Greenmetropolis, slightly cheaper than Amazon at £3.75 but they are used copies.
