After giving details to Head Office and getting the expected go-ahead on the refund, I hurried back to the store.:j
There weren't any bottles left on the shelf :D for the CS lady to scan, so she had to re-price another bottle. She asked me what HO had said and I replied that I'd get a refund & keep the product. She proceeded to refund me £125.65 - 6x£20.94, without the 25% off

Can we get a smilie with champagne glasses please?

    Excellent......

and she just took your word for it.......even better.

On a couple of occasions yesterday, the duty manager didnt argue with either a PI manager or an FMC when they disagreed with my refunds.....after arguing between themselves, then contacting Dundee, I got all my refunds.....

Can you shed some light on the hierachy of the stores and although i think the PI is the Price Integrity manager, whats the FMC.

I gleaned this little bit, in converstaion with the security guy.

To be honest I have not heard of PI but FMC stands for file maintenance control. This is the department that deals specifically with the SELs and POS (large yellow Point Of Sale signs) so if you get an FMC manager at the desk when attempting an r&r it is likely that it will mean more to them than other duty managers. In terms of hierarchy, obviously you have a store manager, usually three/four senior managers underneath and then a load of departmental managers under them.

  • hi! I have monitered this thread for a long time and every so
often look out for a mis price that I would like for nothing! lol not managed it as yet... but I have a mental note of several things posted over the last day or two.... I am going to tesco in the morning and will be on the lookout for some.... but what I would like to know... if I have several mis priced things and go to CS will they know i specifically came there for them (bit of a coincidence if i have several??)
I am a bit nervous of going to CS... do you all go in at seperate times for things so it does not look obvious? or do you go for the lot in one go? lol
thanks in advance... hope i manage to get something tomorrow!!! hubby keeps poo pooing the whole thing and i want to show him!!!!! :D

  • Just visited my local store, happened to notice something a bit odd with the XBOX bundles -
Three options on the shelves - all on yellow SELS

    1. XBOX console on its own - 279.xx
    2. XBOX console with Gears of War bundled - 297.xx
    3. XBOX console with PES 6 bundled - 279.xx

I asked a till operator to price check the Pes6 bundle box (the dvd case box) and she tried it, said it needed age authorisation and i'd have to get CS staff to do it. I was on a family shop and not really in the right frame of mind to go R&R hunting so i did not pursue it.

Strikes me as odd though that option 1, with no game, should be the same price as option 3, unless option 3 is a misprice - and with R&R potential of course.
Iit could be that option 2 is a misprice that will actually scan lower ?

All 3 dvd case boxes listed the contents of the package and they were all the version with the 20Gb hard drive and all the bits, not the core version.

    Anyone care to advise ?
i would have gone for it, but the lady on CS at the time was someone i had an argument with only 2 weeks ago.
