To be fair, myself, I only used it because I had £14 of e-vouchers and chanced it to pay for some of my shopping, even though I had not bought the items relating to the vouchers. They were accepted no probs!DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Nice to save a few quid
I'm amazed how much I'm learning here since I joined, and horrified at how much money I've wasted over the years!0 -

I've only R&R here once before and that was just a pork shoulder and some lamb chops, so only £15 but the CS recognised me. As soon as he had put the call out for someone from that department to come to desk he got on the phone, turned his back and started wispering. I couldn't catch much of it but I believe he was asking security to check if I had scanned the box in store. I obviously hadn't as the kind postman had already.
I then had to take assistant to shelf and show him the price, we return and they both wander off to the shelf, return and offer me the difference. Now as he's already clocked me what was the point, I pointed to board and both looked sheepish and said ok. He still tried to make 2 more calls (I assume to a manager) before handing over the cash whilst muttering "I don't know how u find them".:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This morning on the way to work I pop into the local Tescos to check for Tony Hawks and sure enough there it is with SEL 37.xx.
I buy it, get it from the CS desk and as they hand it to me notice the price error. We go over to the shelf and confirm I was overcharged. The CS guy calls his manager who appears after a few mins. He refuses to honour the RnR and says he will only refund the difference. He is rather rude about it too.
So... I ask why? he says it only applies if you've left the store, and since I had not, it didnt apply. I point out that the "Promise" does not state that. He says his manager told him that's the way it works. I ask for his manager's name, which he tells me. I ask for his name, he points to his badge, on asking his surname he refuses. I tell him to tell his manager to expect a call later, and ask what time he's in. He says his manager's not in today, the vice captain so to speak is another manager, he gives me his name too.
I call the other manager later, as I am a doctor, I only state my name as Dr Blahblah (always puts you in a position of power, people are scared of doctors!). Explain the situation, he says he'll look into it. I tell him I'll call back in an hour to hear how he feels we should proceed. An hour later I call and he says to come in later and he'll see from there, he also apologises for the CS guy's rudeness earlier (I did not even tell him he'd been rude, I was quite calm and neutral).
I come in later, upon introducing myself to the CS desk as Dr Blahblah a call is made and some manager comes out of the woodwork. I ask him if he is aware of the situation, he says he has heard others discussing it and will call the main manager to confirm how to proceed. He says to do full RnR, so that's what I get.
I also get this manager apologising with something along the lines of "I don't know what came over the chap this morning, I'm really sorry about him".
To be honest I think they thought if I could be bothered to chase them up that quickly, knew to esculate up the channels, I might well be a big pain in the !!!! and get them in trouble for overcharging on the sly.
Anyway I'm happy... got my game!0 -
Not an Xbox 360 bean today, tried 5 stores.
The Mad Mulers at Tesco HO must of got word out across the whole of their Evil Empire of Dumbf@ckistan last night/early this morning.
Funny how when they are loosing money they can get their ar@e's in gear to sort it out. But when they are illegally overcharging thousands of customers every day, they can't be bothered to get their pricing sorted out.
It suggests to me they are making money out of illegal overcharging even after subtracting the cost of R&R's.
Had to settle for a few more ASDA vouchers.0 -

the cs lady did not mark my receipt does this mean I can have another refund tomorrow although they may have changed the price before I return or do I need to go to a different store.
THANKS
Congratulations on taking advantage of a misprice but I think you are taking the p*ss somewhat by suggesting going back for another refund. This would be tantamount to stealing and is not what a true MSE'er should be promoting.0 -
I thought that if you get an r&r for a misprice and they don't mark your till receipt and you go for another refund that is called a golden r&r0

im gonna go in tommorow for a 360...wish me luck. what are the chances?0
