Quick warning - the site has been crashing at the payment confirmation stage with a 'Bad Gateway' error page. I've managed to order the deal twice (not necessarily a bad thing) as it had gone through the first time.

I had the same thing and went through the payment stage 3 times. So far I have only had one confirmation e-mail and I have checked my account which still quotes 1 order- I don't want 3!

    Hi,
Do you know how long we have to use the credit. I have credit in my groupon account and wasn't aware of the expiry.

    Thanks x

Hiya - if you log into your account and look at the credit it states when it expires - mine was credited 24th Aug and due to expire 24th Feb so looks like 6 months

ok so i haven't done this and I know multiple accounts is fraudulent but can you you know you get £6 if soemone you recommend buys a deal, say i wanted another couple of deals as gifts, could i recommend say my OH, get him to buy one then i get £6 off mine, ie saving £6 off 2 deals or £9each deal

is this not recommended, do you have to be registered at diffeent addresses-we are as he works away anyway

This is how I got my account credit - i saw a restaurant deal and recommended it to DH who then bought it, however I think the credit was pending in my account until we actually went to the restaurant and redeemed the vouchers when it became confirmed and available to use so not sure you'd be able to use it on this deal but could save it for a future offer

evening Tara, EssexHebridean, SJP, Thevicster, - hmmn, methinks we need to build an extension for the naughty step! :D:rotfl:

    We've been rumbled... :eek::eek:
I think you have to wait at least 72 hours for the £6 referral credit... In case the other person cancels their order.

You will have to treat yourself next time something comes up!

    Thanks for that.....

Do Groupon do these kind of deals regularly?? Just wondering whether i should buy another couple ?? But if they come up a couple of times a year i'll not bother (since I have stacks of toiletries and shouldn't be buying anyway! :D)

Wow, this is like an extension of the no buying toiletries thread :rotfl:and over 3100 sold in London!

Has anyone actually received their voucher yet? I'm always suspicous of new things and the Body Shop just seem to be doing constant offers at the moment......is this because they are overpriced or in trouble - don't mean to scaremonger it's just they've had Jan sales, sales items at 2 for 1, that deal in the telegraph, I've got a £20 for £10 voucher for march and now this......I'm sooooo tempted.

Do the groupon vouchers have a limit - i.e. if I procrastinate will they run out (which may not be such a bad thing.....):T

PS Tara - save up all your deals and get an EasyJet day trip over to visit us all and spend them if they aren't valid in NI!!

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

  • I've tried buying the voucher many times but no luck. Got onto the order page once then when it came to confirm payment - it crashed!!

Now i can't get back on the 'buy now' page. The internet is so slow at work, guess it doesn't really help!
