I throught it might be a good idea to make one post which all the "pre-paid mastercard" can be put on and be stated if it work with ryanair or not for the "no booking fee" So it reduce people getting a card, loading it with money only to find it does not work. Here are ones I know of so far (Which I have tried.)

Tavelex travel card - does not work
Neteller Virtual card - does not work
Neteller physical card - works
Escape travel card - works
Escape everyday card - works
mywirecard - works
kalixa - ?
moneybookers - ?
AA Spend and Earn Card - ?
Fairfx Card - did work (according to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/beat-budget-airline-charges#prepaid) but now according to jimmychoclates stop working from 22nd Feb 2011)
Caxton - Works (confirm by Doshwaster)
Cashplus - works (confirm by Scott88)
ice Travellers cashcard - works (confirm by glenderg & lijaloo)

Any others? As more get posted, will update this list so be current. This list is not interested on fee the cards charge, just if it work or doesnt work without ryanair charging you as a mastercard credit card or worse not work at all.

The FairFX card works in theory, but it is a bit hit and miss whether the Ryanair website accepts it.
  • Been using fairfx for over a year now, no problems until yesterday. Ryanair accepted 2 previous transaction on the card, but now rejects it, although the funds are there. Spoke to fairfx, not a card problem, they say speak to Ryanair. Made another purchase with the card on another website today without any problem. Still being rejected by Ryanair. Mmmmmm. It must be something i'm doing wrong or could it be Ryanair trying to sting me for admin fee's? They'd never do that would they!!!

I can confirm this. Both the sterling and euro card work. I have both and use the euro card if I am booking a one way flight from Spain.

Can confirm Neteller works, card costs nothing though takes a bit of time to set up. If anyone would like me to refer them for a account/card, please send a PM.

Is there any advantage to being referred, please?
Also, how much is the initial load and minimum top up amounts?

Has anybody used a pre paid for car hire. Not the actual booking of the car hire, but the petrol/fuel deposit they charge when you get there.
Also some are taking a note of your card number in case of accidents and damages so how wiould that work. Would you need the 300 Euros for exaomple already loaded onto the card in case of an accident?
We have always used a normal credit card, but are stopping using them and fancy trying a prepaid mastercard or visa.
