  • Sorry for not replying sooner... I got back from holiday yesterday. I wanted to again thank you all for your time and replies. I'm happy to say that 365 Electrical has confirmed that I will indeed get a free 5 year warranty and it is something that they apply for (on my behalf) from AEG themselves, once I have registered the initial 12 month warranty. I informed the customer services representative that none of this is explained on their website but am glad it should all be sorted now. :)

And have you contacted AEG to confirm ths?
  • Did 365 confirm it in writing or was it just word of mouth?.

If it was an e-mail, make sure that you keep a copy until the warranty certificate arrives.

I contacted AEG (Domestic and General, who handle the warranties on behalf of AEG) and they confirmed that 'free promotional extended warranties' are available by purchasing the dryer from certain retailers. 365 Electrical has confirmed they are one of these retailers.

It was by phone, from two people on two separate occasions. I don't have any reason to not believe the company representatives.

I am currently about to seek redress with regard to an expensive AEG condenser drier which IMHO has not lasted for a reasonable length of time.

As a matter of interest ,AEG have not existed as a manufacturing concern for quite some time. Electrolux bought the rights to the brand name, presumably to represent certain appliances in certain ranges as being of better quality and more durable. Attributes which are often applied to German design and Engineering. Sadly this did not apply with my purchase !
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
