AA Breakdown cost cover

    Its renewal time for me and like other posters, AA are looking to double my renwal cost.:mad:

    Could i just go back on to quidco and set myself up as a new customer or am i best goign to RAC who seem to be offering the same cover at the same price?

    [Comment about breakdown cover - yes I know the thread is about Warranty cover but the others have discussed AA renewals so I figured I'd join in!]

    My AA renewal (homestart & relay included) was quoted at £166. I phoned to cancel renewal and he offered me the same at just over £80, so half the price in the letter. Still wasn't cheap enough though - the AA are doing the package for £99 on their website, and I've got over £40 cashback through TCB.

    I'm in the same position for the same level of cover - did you have any problems with cashback, has it shown up on your TCB statement without probs?

    Makes me laugh that the AA website has a section for "loyalty" when clearly their policy is to try and rip off existing customers. If RAC cashback rates were better I'd join them instead.
