did you get a spread sheet sorted? if not post it up as a new thread & someone will have one to help you. hope you get that bank account sorted by the weekend- make it a priority.
Hi hi hi:).
Got a text this morning to say my Step account has been approved and should receive debit card in the next couple of days:T. So time to start transferring DDs. I have credit card bills pinned to my fridge that by now I would be panicking about paying and I feel really guilty that I won't be paying them. I am bracing myself for the phone calls and letters that shall be winging their way in my direction very soon:(
My IP has just this minute phoned me to tell me that they have sorted all my paperwork and should get a proposal through the post within the next week or two!! So scared, so nervous but feeling ever so slightly optimistic (unusual for me) that this just MIGHT be our way back to some kind of life (bankruptcy still lurks in the background though).
Still not sorted a spreadsheet so I think I will call on the wise ones!:)0 -
Hi Jojojub, just reading through thread as I am in the exact same position as you, in process of applying for IVA as we have 32k of debt and Lloyds tsb is main creditor
Just noticed you said you have applied for a natwest step account. I was applying with Natwest but cccsva told me not to do this as TSB and Natwest are now in the same group of banks so you have to make sure they cant get access to your account
They told me to go for unconnected bank, either hsbc, co-op or barclays
Hope this helpsEleventh Heaven no.110

HSBC are a big no-no -- they are very IVA intolerant and will close the account as soon as they realise, whether you owe them or not.
Natwest branches in England are part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, those in Scotland are being sold to Santander. I don't believe they are linked to TSB0 -
Yeah the advisor from cccsva told me tsb are linked to natwest beacause of the rbs takeover thing so i didnt got with them. i wentt with hsbc but going to open new one with co-op i think because everyone says hsbc will close

Ok. Now I am worried!! When I applied for my Natwest account they mentioned bank of Scotland. I got confused because there is a Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank Of Scotland. The woman I spoke to at Natwest told me they were not related to Lloyds. They were with Bank of Scotland where as Lloyds are with Royal Bank of Scotland! Please help!0 -
Bank of Scotland is in the same group as Lloyds and TSB. Royal Bank of Scotland are in the same group as Natwest and Ulster bank (and own Mint -- which used to be called the RBS Advanta Card)
"In 1999, the Bank of Scotland made a takeover bid for Natwest. Since the Bank of Scotland was significantly smaller than the English-based NatWest, the move was seen as an audacious and risky move. However, the Royal Bank of Scotland tabled a rival offer, and a bitter takeover battle ensued, with the Royal Bank the victor" ... wikipedia0 -
Ok. Not happy right now. The woman from Natwest assured me they were not related to Lloyds. My step account from Natwest has been accepted. Should I now consider opening another account (Co-op?). Not a happy puppy right now0

You are OK Judojub ---- Natwest are NOT related to Lloyds. Lloyds are Bank, Natwest are Royal Bank.0

I didnt mean to worry you, its just cccsva told me to avoid natwst because of my debt with tsb.
Then again ive also told them i opened a new account with hsbc, but they didnt tell me that they will probably send me a letter to close it!
I am opening a co-op one in case hsbc send me a letter to close my accountEleventh Heaven no.110

I do so hope that is right Foggy. I can not deal with which bank belongs to who right now!! All I know is the woman I spoke to from Natwest told me they were not related to Lloyds. I am pretty much at the end of my tether right now. I might well phone Co-op in the morning just to provide some kind of safety net just in case! Worried, all over again!!!0
