seems to be great but still unclear for me about skype over wifi. does allskype on all mobile phones use skype over wife? what other free phone calliung system can we use. i have an account all set up in skype so wonder if this is the easiest. going to 3 for a mobile phone such as htc is his more straightforward. sorry if not clear to me yet!fiendishlyclever wrote: »I don't believe GiffGaff put any restrictions on your use (as long as you aren't tethering) and they piggyback off the O2 network. At £10 a month for a bundle including unlimited internet its miles better than Orange's measly 100Mb. Orange need to wake up and smell the coffee (or people need to leave them so they reconsider their policy).0

just want a cheap enough phone with facebook/a bit of internet (but dont need loads)/ and mainly skype and facebook for my daughter and i. we are not regular users but would like something we can use from time to time. pay as you go along option...unless works out too pricey? or options at 3 network. other half has htc desire hd at mo but i think it is too pricey for our own needs thanks.0

It will do everything you've listed in that post, and more, so yes it's a good option.0

It's slow and laggy on webpages the busier the page the worse it gets.Try one instore at Orange first.
You can get the HTC Desire for around £230-£250 new now from phones4u it's a far better phone.0 -
A good idea to try it first as suggested if you can.
Personally I love it - bought it for my daughter as her first grown up phone and her 12th birthday present, and then got one for myself.
Had a few teething problems initially as phone was faulty but after that its been great and does everything and more as Rusty says. You do not say how old your daughter is but I personally would not give a really expensive phone like a Desire to a youngster (although if you have the funds fair enough). I think its great for the price and a good introduction to the joys of android on a payg basis.

hi, i ordered one last night, can't wait for it to be delivered.
my 02 contract is finishing, i phoned to cancel but they convinced me to have a sim only 30-day rolling contract £10.21 (unli txt, 100mins) until i've decided what the cheapest option for me, i read giffgaff is offering the best deal at the mo, am looking into that as well.
this site is costing me a fortune in the last couple of weeks, bought a laptop, i haven't even played with it yet, still waiting for my virgin superhub. and now a phone
to someone in the know, can you please help meon how to unlock, root, etc...or point me to a very simple guide.
thanks!0 -
