I got my two a couple of years ago from SofaSofa
Cost me about £299 each but I got £100 knocked off for going via t'internet. I visited a showroom in Brum first to check them out and get proper measurements.
They delivered when they said and they were in great condition - still are actually!!!:DNoli nothis permittere te terere

got our corner sofa from dfs and it has stood up to some very hard wear and tear from two manic cats. very hapy with it
however they did try and deliver the sofa 2 weeks early - not normally an issue but we hadnt moved into our first place at the time and they were not very helpful (said they couldnt be responsible to what happened to it if it was still at their warehouse in a weeks time).
fionces parents order a leather sofa - agani very nice and they are happy with it but delivery was delayed by 3weeks and they were even told until after the expected delivery date.
i would prob use again though as they have some cracking deals and a great selection. everywhere else i looked just didnt do what i wanted!0 -
We got our leather sofa/chairs from DFS, someone ordered the set and it was made up and delivered in the wrong colour...so they sold it cheap to us as they wanted shot of it...bargainDebt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100

My mum has a leather sofa from DFS and it's beautiful, unfortunately the seats are sagging in the middle - thick cushions with a bum imprint, even though she does try to rotate them a lot. I was not impressed.
My leather sofa from DFS is only nine months old and seems perfect, as the cushions are firm. It was a bargain at £700 for a huge corner unit we can both sleep on. I do like to keep it covered with throws though, as it is all stitched together, so no exchanges can be made.:wall:0 -
Another vote from me for SofaSofa. Showroom, CS and delivery staff were all very pleasant and the suite itself is very nice and still in good nick.0

Whatever you do don't buy from DFS the sofas look good but the quality is appauling and the after sales service is terrible. You are very likely to regret it if you do! We have a lovely looking sofa from DFS which has repeatedly broken (Frame and slatted base) the majority of the time we have had it it has been broken the rest of the time we are scared to sit on it as it could break. It was not fit for the purpose I guess we should have gone the trading standards route. They insist on replacing parts and fixing which takes months for bits to arrive and you have to continually make phone calls and wait in for DFS bods to inspect/collect deliver. They try to make out you are doing something abusive to it (they have never had problems before, yeah right!) We are all normal weight and sit carefully on it . I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole and will do all that I can to spread the word. Their adverts irritiate the hell out of me.
Complete waste of money, hassle, stress and also we decorated and bought other items to match too. We just wanted to purchase a sofa we have other hassles to deal with we can't spend all our energys on one sofa. I guess they rely on people not having time to go through official routes to get their rights.
Second hand quality like Ekornes is a much better investment try ebay. Or try one of the other high street furniture stores PLEASE!:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
DFS and I think LOL have sofas that are chinese in origin. These tend to be of more questionable quality but are undoubtedly cheap. You tend to find Italian leather sofas have traditionally been the best quality. You do not mention colour, generally any coloured sofa is inferior quality leater that has been stained, be aware that if scratched you will not necessarily see that colour underneath. The top quality leather is full uncorrected ananline leather. By definition these are brown but if scratched you can rub them with your thumb and rub out the marks. House of fraser use a company called Halo, big manufacturer, they use Italian leather but ship this to china to be made I believe. V similar in design terms but Italian leather with Italian frame construction is The Room in maidenhead. Not hundreds of styles to choose from but top quality Italian sofas.0
