Morning all
JJef - sorry to read your sad news.
Hex - Happy Birthday
Mudbath - Hope you're on the mend
Triker - you sound so tired
Dusty - I've bookmarked that link to keep, it looks good.
Not finished catching up yet, hope everyone's OK.
I've done the bathroom/toilet today. Also hung some washing outside! Made cottage pie for dinner.0 -
Greetings, flying friends.
Nixie a friend of mine used to have a beagle that was right gobby – more trouble than her other 2 dogs and dozen or so cats put together, but a lovely dog, all the same.:D
Jjef sorry to hear about your FiL. (((HUG)))
Mudbath nice to “see” you. How's Stripes these days?:o
Hoppy Birdday to Hex and Poohbear's DD
Triker good news that the stitches are out; how're you doing in yourself?Aww thank you!!!! I thought I'd missed a chunk of the year and ended up in Christmas again!! :rotfl:
Welcome Sarahlou; generally, we tell people to take baby steps to start with, till you get into the swing of it - at first, aim for the Level 1 stuff, and pat yourself on the back when you've achieved this. You'll be surprised how quickly you get "into" it, and chores cease to be chores, iyswim.:oLittleMissHappy wrote: »ETA - saw MSE Flyladies on FB and requested to join, then realised no one would know who I amDo I need to pm anybody?
Had a bit of a wobbly this morning; the landline rang. Now, as is my habit, I ignored it, with the idea that if it's a genuine call the answering machine can take it and Mr LW can deal with it later – I did “1471” after, and it was a “number withheld” and no message was left, so it was obviously a nuisance cold-call, but I sat and shook for a good half hour afterwards.:( Yet again I find myself wishing Alexander Graham Bell had been drowned at birth!:(
I thought it'd probably be bathroom day (specially after Nixie's "beagle incident"):D so I got Mr LW to leave the A-frame off the bath this morning - well, it'll save me at least a teaspoon not having to lift it down!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
OMG is it Thursday already..:eek::eek:
Hi all...
Happy Birthday Hex xx
Love, Hugs n Spoons all round. I havent caught up with the thread, tbh I have hardly caught up with anything. Been quite poorly the last few days and spent my time either dozing, working on my assignment for OU or in hiding.
House tbh is not 'that' bad but it is showing signs of not being up to its normal 'flylady-esque' standard. I am going to run thru the lists I have missed and see what I can manage. Decided its no big deal, after all it is a lot tidier than it ever was before flying began here.
Ok I just went through the lists and had a mini panic. Rather than work to those I shall work to this one instead..
Clean down kitchen - tops, doors, equip
S&S Bathroom
Do washing - inc bathroom mat etc
Tidy round bedroom - pick up clothes etc
Hoover through
Empty all bins
Feed birdies and cat - Done
Do anything else that I think off when flying
First off though I am off to find some lunch...

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
All clean washing gathered up and more dirty washing found. Rhys now away for a snooze, me and hubby have found a home for his ''hobby'' so thats another thing done. Livingroom been cleared abit but somehow i ended up in the utility room so i'll keep on at it for now. I'm starting to feel abit more hopeful that i'll get the house sorted.
LMH if you go to the MSE flylady on facebook and look up the friends list you'll find most of the flylady's.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Thanks for the answers LW, Valli and Vanilla - Not worried about timing, just that they may think a random person has requested to join the group
I will pm pigpen x
Flying wise - I have almost finished DDs bedroom and DS1 and DS2 rooms nearly done alsoFamily bathroom cleaned and am going to hoover the top floor before I move down and do the few bits left in the master room from yesterday...friends coming over at 2 so need to crack on x

actually it is me and Lil_me that are admin.. but I've accepted 3 of you now..
I am feeling rather ropey this morning, the girls have been made to clean the kitchen after they trashed it. I have new slobbing trousers and they are the comfiest things in the world! I NEED the children back at school they are really starting to play up.. I might send DD2 out poopicking (cats no dogs here) and kick them all out to get muddified!
I have scrounged the money from my mother to pay the credit card (she owes me it I am not being a sponge)and my overall total debt is rather much less than my siggy strip so I can update that too!!! Though I'll do that monday when it is even lower.. I have my littlewoods catalogue to pay off (hopefully by the summer) then I can start hammering chunks off the bank loan see if I can get that gone sooner rather than in 5.5 years.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Shysarah why not go for 10-minute-challenges, like I often do, while you're feeling ropey? Break the bathroom down into its individual components, clean one, then have a time out, style of thing.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Back hall now all nice and tidy, coal and stick box have been moved to outside for the time being. Coats all hanging up out there so there should be no problems in finding them now. Mattress thing now hung out on the line but i think it will take 3 days to dry.
Hubby just made a cuppa and then he's to sort through all his games in the livingroom, he's also lit the fire.Must get him to fill the stick box to.
I'll get the livingroom dusted and hoovered, i might even clean the windows.:)
