    very busy day today got to pack and quick once over the house before heading home for the weekend.

    my lists

    Monday ~ Living/Family/Reception room
    Level One

    Wipe sticky grubby marks from sofas
    Level Two
    Wipe sticky grubby marks from walls and paintwork
    Dust and deweb light fittings, picture rails and other fluffy places!!
    Tuesday ~ Kitchen & Dining area
    Level Two
    Clean filters
    Extras
    Scrub kickboards
    Wash out bins.. rubbish/recycle/compost caddies
    Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 2
    Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
    Level 3
    Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    Defluff and demuck woodwork... skirtings, window frames, door frames dados, picture rails etc
    Extras
    Clean windows in these rooms
    Thursday ~ Study or other reception room & bathrooms
    Level Three
    Clean the windows.
    Friday ~ Childrens Rooms, Spare rooms Or just neglected spaces!
    Level Two
    Sort through a cupboard of clothing
    Sort through a box of toys/junk
    Extras
    Clean out pets.. make appointments for any vaccinations they need!!

  • List update - not too bad!

    Have just done a load of little online jobs - bill paying, clubcard order, etc. so a good start to the day. Going to the cinema with dad this pm so will do a little more before then.

    Monday ~ Living room
    Level Three
    Clear and wipe and cupboards/sideboards in here
    Polish any glass.. screens, pictures, ornaments mirrors etc

    Extras
    Sort through a drawer or cupboard of 'stuff'

    Tuesday ~ Kitchen

    Level Two
    Clean filters and door seals.. don't forget the fridge ones they are usually revolting!

    Level Three
    Clean out a mangy cupboard!

    Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing

    Level 1
    Check smoke alarms are working
    Remove bed linen and replace with fresh linen
    Declutter the floordrobe

    Level 2
    Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
    Vacuum mattress before replacing fresh linen
    15 minutes grotspot clearance

    Level 3
    Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
    Sort one area of clothes or linen storage
    Defluff and demuck woodwork... skirtings, window frames, door frames dados, picture rails etc

    Thursday ~ bathroom

    Level Two
    clean bath
    Wipe down the tiles and defragment the pc while doing this.

    Level Three
    dust the pc desk
    wipe the keyboard, mouse, cables and sockets and suchlike.
    Clean the windows.

    - post x 4; house insurance; DVD to D
    - [STRIKE]hammock to Dad[/STRIKE]; charity shop; book hotel
    - laminating; [STRIKE]shredding[/STRIKE]; filing
    - [STRIKE]collect parcel[/STRIKE]; banking; phone
    - GP; hair; tax office
    - car checks; [STRIKE]gas / elec[/STRIKE]; sort cross stitch
    - write AR; IEPs x 10; APP files

    Need to do school work today - but the sun is shining, so I shall alternate between that and gardening! I'll do the bathroom later or tomorrow...

    Loads done yesterday, including batch of marmalade, and I'm really happy that I blitzed the boys' room, which was truly filthy. They are supposed to do it themselves, but haven't bothered, and I couldn't stand it any longer.

    The housework will always be there, go out and make some memories with your boys!! (and if it involves driving past your favourite garden centre, even better!)

  • Thursday ~ bathrooms
    Level One
    Clear the clutter -done
    wash any curtains/blinds/mats etc that need doing - done
    Level Two
    Vacuum the floors
    clean bath, toilets, shower and sinks -done
    Wipe down the tiles and defragment the pc while doing this. Pc done and malware evicted something nasty
    Level Three
    declutter and dust the pc desk-done
    Wipe away cup rings and sticky things- done
    wipe the keyboard, mouse, cables and sockets and suchlike. -done
    Clean the windows.
    Extras
    1. Vacuum under movable furniture
    2. HHI..
    3. Clear a hotspot
    4. Replace any dead toothbrushes and sponges
