Tesco Biggest Offer Ever

I've had 3 vouchers back - in every case all, or almost all, of my basket was compared so the 25% suggestion by Tesco appears to be yet another case of staff not knowing how the system works/bad training.ELITE 5:2

My bill was £83.10 and by my reckoning, using the tesco online product checker it would have been £20.24 cheaper in Asda. I sent off my details as instructed and got my results through just now and it said that my shopping would only have been £2.20 cheaper at Asda.
When I looked at the bill they had only compared £25 worth of shopping. I had bought loads of Always products as they were £1.99 in Tesco and £1.00 in Asda (I checked on the pricechecker and on Asda. com) but they had not been compared. I just rang customer services and spoke to a very rude man who said that they only compare 25% of your shopping approximately, and that Always weren't included. I asked why they were included in the list on the websites pricechecker and he said he didn't know. I asked who did and he said he didn't know. I asked to speak to someone else and he said that they wouldn't be able to tell me any more.
My opinion is that this is just more sharp practice from Tesco and I won't EVER be going there again. I now have to take all the stuff back that I got yesterday and they had better refund me!
Please forgive me spectacular ignorance in the area of feminine hygiene, but I’ll do what I can to explain what could be going on.
Without knowing the exact purchase it’s difficult to be certain but I suspect always not being matched is due to ranging or size differences.
For example Asda range 4 “Normal Plus” products, whereas my local Tesco online site ranges 6 (what you see varies by store I think, but mine's an Extra so should have most things):
Taking the Tesco range of “Normal Plus” products:
Always Normal Plus Jumbo 24s – Not ranged by Asda as far as I could see
Always Ultra Normal Plus Jumbo 30 – Not ranged by Asda as far as I could see
Always Simply Fits Normal Plus 12s – Asda range a 24pk, which as it's more than a 10% difference is classed as non-comparable
Always Freshelle Normal Plus Jumbo 20 – Asda range a 12 pack
Always Ultra Normal Plus Jumbo 26 – Not ranged by Asda as far as I could see
Always Silk Normal Plus with wings 12s – Same product ranged by Asda so should be matched
(Forgive me if I’ve missed anything inadvertently - not my area of expertise!)
Asda range Always Ultra with Silk Normal Plus 36pk, which is not ranged by Tesco
Hope that helps

Oops just posted on the other thread.
I bought some biscuits off the list and they have come up as not found. Also, some reports of people putting in their receipts on line and then the system comming back saying not found. Think this could be a bit of a risk.0 -
£111 shop, voucher just shy of £85. They didn't compare the cocopops!0

Try entering the details from the receipt again - normally not found means there was a typo somewhere, so the system can't locate your transaction.0 -
Tescos will compare all branded products that are sold on asda's website but you have to make sure that it is an exact match, such as Always Ultra Normal (16) £1 in asda, £1.99 or 2 for £3 in tesco. (so to get the best value only buy one in a single shop)
if any item you buy is an exact match and it does not get compared just tell tesco that asda have it on their website and that they need to update the comparison list. so far eveything I have bought that was an exact match has been fine and I am currently waiting for my 3rd voucher which i will use to buy stuff to get my 4th voucher.
they will also compare own brand stuff (sold on asda's website) but as the rules for that are more complex I would use http://www.tesco.com/whatsinstore/pricecheck/ to check each item before you add it to your list.
they compare the total cost of your shop so only buy things that are cheaper at asda. anything else get in a seprate shop, or even better still do your seprate shop at asda and use their price guarantee to get it 10% cheaper than tesco (tesco will accept asda price guarantee vouchers)
my shops
£20.24 voucher £22.48
£24.45 voucher £18.94
£19.12 expected voucher £18.240 -

No, I am very sure that in my case, it is not a typo.
The transaction details of 2 of my purchases are definitely missing from the Tesco database. I have tried umpteen number of times entering the bottom line of the receipt into the Tesco Price Check website and it is ALWAYS unable to locate the details.
I have mailed Tesco Customer Service and did not get a satisfactory reply.
Why is there no complaint address for Tesco Price Check like what they have in ASDA Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions?Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74
