Other than contacting the author of the ROM, not a lot if I'm guessing correctly that it's a 3rd party effort rather than an official release.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

Do a full backup using clockwork and flash with another ROM (don't forget to wipe it).
Downloads apps from market and check whether same behaviour applies.

Its a known problem with many roms .
Suggest a search in the forum you used for market fix .
Factory reset may fix it .

I normally use the roms from Paul on Modaco. See the instructions given below. There are other ROM's too. But Only the Modaco's approved ROM's are thought to be having not many problems. Albeit Japanese Jelly fish is the most popular, I would advise you to avoid it as it over clocks and causes over heating of the phone and drains the battery.

please pay a close attention as ROM's are often TFT/OLED specific. make sure that the ROM you're downloading is suitable to your mobile screen. TFT's are the latest screens. if you had bought yours this year, you can safely say it is a TFT one rather than the old OLED. hope this helps.
I have a r7 Rom from there for Froyo and had no problems with it. Just before flashing make sure you clear the cache and reboot after flashing.0 -

read the instructions on that page 3-4 times just to get familiarise yourself with what you are going to do and then do it.
Hope this helps.0 -
Did you wipe the data and cache when you upgraded the rom? This is one of the obscure behaviors that happens if you didn't.
