I can't believe they are quibbling over £200.
Personally I would tell them that they can either stick to their side of the agreement or they can stick it.
What do you think the margins are in a car like this? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

If they gave you some paper with the word INVOICE on then they are obliged to sell the car to you for the price stated and you can go to the Small Claims for the £200.

Genuine question - I currently have an "order form" for my brand new car - signed and I've placed a deposit (and been approved for finance)
Are you saying they'd be within their right to move the goalposts between now and the delivery date?
Yes.

The same way you are with in your rights to pull of of the sale without being chased for further payment.
That would depend on how far the order had progressed. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Yes.
.....
Just read the T&Cs and you're right
"If at any time between the date on this order form and the delivery date the Manufacturer advises the Seller that the Recommended Retail Price for the Vehicle has changed, the Seller will inform the Purchaser who will have the right to cancel the Vehicle Order within 14 days"
Saying that, my car's in stock just waiting for it's 11 plate so I don't think this will happen

If Kia increase their prices tomorrow, you will still be subject to that clause. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
