Dealership Discputing Invoiced Price

And you said, "Jeez"!!!!
If you don't undersatnd how a contract is formed google it, wikki it or something.
In simple terms - He agrees to buy at x price, dealer agrees to sell at x price, contract is formed and invoice or order form confirms details.
He didn't say he'd signed anything, just "shook hands"...
Doesn't mean a contract exists, even if there is an order form.0 -
All this talk of the terms not applying to used cars suggests to me the salesman has used a new car order form, rather than a used one.
The trouble with huffing and puffing is the dealer still has to prepare the car - if they are forced to honour the deal, they will take the money back in other ways.
Negotiation is the best way, not a good idea to start a car ownership experience, particularly a used car ownership experience, with a dispute.0 -
What can he do if the dealer just say "No, we're not going to sell it to you" though? lol0

Effectively?
Nothing.
Which is why the OP needs to negotiate a way forward.0 -
Suspected as much.0

Phone Audi UK customer services, i'm sure they won't be too happy to hear this. They have to swallow the £200 mistake themselves, If they won't agree to waive the extra, tell them you want your deposit back, but only after speaking the sales manager/general manager of the dealership, and if it's still not sorted, tell them you will be contacting Audi Uk, I'm sure if you search through any Audi threads on the forums you may find a name of the head man of Audi UK, drop him an email, they always cut through the cr*p like a hot knife through butter. It's all about the customer! I'd even be chasing for a free service for being made to feel this way too! Thanks to all the competition posters.0

If you have a signed contract, they can go swivel for their £200. But you already knew that.
Re-read my original post and you will see that I mentioned the signatures on the order invoice.0 -
I can't believe they are quibbling over £200.
Personally I would tell them that they can either stick to their side of the agreement or they can stick it.0 -
If it is an ORDER FORM they have given yoiu then they are worthless. Even if it has been signed by HM the Queen.
If they gave you some paper with the word INVOICE on then they are obliged to sell the car to you for the price stated and you can go to the Small Claims for the £200.0
