We've had nothing but excellent service from EDF, plus for us it would be crazy to move away as the tariff we are on is not available to new customers and the cheapest available if we moved away would be £190 per year dearer.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)
  • i have had the same i owed them 180 on a quarterly bill then then i paid in full over phone. as i had never given them a proper reading. Dont know who i was ringing to give readings to then. They then increased monthly payemnts from 18.50 to 30.00. When i owed 0. then when i got my next quarterly bill they owed me 100.00 so i asked for refund which took several phone calls i was told that the only way i could have money was to canell dd then set it up again. which they did and then released cheque and re did dd. they are now taking a 25.00 dd and not told me. im better off so i wont complain.

I am now going to wait for my credit card bill to arrive to check it before attempting to make any further payments to these idiots.

Can anyone spell INCOMPETENT ?

OK my credit card bill arrived today and there is indeed no payment to Brit Gas. This time I have used the BGC form at the bottom of the reminder letter and paid a cheque in through a bank so there will be a paper and an electronic trail. They stamped and initialled the letter as a receipt.
So this should, I devoutly hope, prove to be the absolute final end to the 'fun-filled' saga of me trying to get 1. a correct final bill sent to me (since switching to Atlantic on Oct 5th) and 2. to pay the damn thing!
