About 50 books (I kept the ones with great sentimental value), which were the only resellable things I owned. When I was an overspender, I just gave them to charity shops when I'd finished with them
Lots of people seem to find this more upsetting than selling other types of posessions 'Oooh, I could never sell my books.'0 -

Careful
Remember the episode of The Simpsons when Bart sold his soul to Millhouse?
I have sold a few books and a DVD on Amazon so far. I'm not sure if I really want to sell lots of my things, especially the books, as the postage was so heavy it virtually wiped out all the profit :mad:Dealing with my debt and my weight
Debt at LBM 22/12/08 £33,270
Debt now £30,100 (9.5% paid off)
£2 coins saved and banked = £2100 -

Nothing really designer.
The one that surprised me most was my old doll from 1980 which was a pippa doll with hardly any hair left and sold for £38!!!
Oh my god I had a Pippa Doll, what the boyfriends name ? I think I had him too!Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

I've sold about 250 books on Amazon... sadly mostly before my Lightbulb Moment so the money just got lost in my current account. Now they are all going to reduce my overdraft - over £11 already this week, hoorah!
Much as I was attached to my books (and I've kept a few), I've read just as much as ever since I've been selling them, mostly from the library or borrowed from my mother.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

I'm going to make a list of stuff I can sell. I'm avoiding thinking about my books though, can't quite let go of them...mainly novels, nothing spectacular but I love books! I read them again and again!
I would agree with previous post - wouldnt bother selling your books on ebay unless they are first editions/ rare etc.. what with fees and low selling price difficult to really make any money on them, and if you love them then would seem a shame to see them go for not much..0
