Somehow or other, i have managed to fill in the redeem form and also get 65p out of OP tonight. It involved a lot of patience and pressing f5. I hope it is better tomorrow though as i can't be that patient every day. It looks like you don't hide surveys any more but they disappear if you screen out. It seems a bit more stable now than an hour ago, but i bet a lot of people have given up and gone to bed.

I've also done a GTM survey for 30 points, so now at 150 on there and need 1000 to redeem for $50 which is about £30.

And dy i wrote a 60p review which has had 40 rates. I am about 20p short of being on target to get to £50 by the end of the month, so getting there.

Food wise, i had to alter the menu plan as i realised a pack of sausages went OOD on Saturday so they needed using. I made a concoction of fried potatoes with mushrooms, onion and a pepper to use up old potatoes and mushrooms. It was really tasty and a bit different. Tempted DS2 to eat a little which was good as he barely ate all day. I think he will need to go to the Drs tomorrow as he is coughing like mad but not shifting anything, and he looked so sorry for himself. I'm wary as my nephew had pneumonia at this age.

I forget to say most importantly of all, DH fiddled with the heating. It was set at 19 degrees all day, and he rest it to only come on in the morning and evening now. I will turn it off all together when the kids get better.

Although we are using the same amount as we were at this time last year, and i am sure it is colder this year, we have the new boiler so i feel we should be doing better. It will be interesting next monday to see how this affects useage.

Put money into the bank, my music magpie cheque not arrived yet. I walked to my local shop to get my refund on a gift that they can't get back in stock. I finally got onto onepoll and completed some surveys. Sold a laptop for spares on behalf of bloke's workmate and can have half the profit as he was going to bin it. Made some sandwiches and that's it really.
  • Bit of an indirect MSE activty last night. Our wireless router was poor and would only reach the bedrooms and not downstairs. So linked in a more powerful router so now have access throughout the house, so I can happily do work/MSE activities in the lounge now.

Also had through the PO paying in books so can finally cash some cheques and cash in rather than go into town.

Been looking at our electricity energy usage and we are 114kwh weekley consumption from 178kwh a couple weeks ago.

  • Cant get onto onepoll either.
Washing all done & hung outside before coming in to work.
Charged phone at work (and now using works computer) as boss away !

Last night changed phone package from anytime to evenings & wkends only saving about £4 a month.

Didnt get on here at weekend but not a very MSE one as DH bought a new (old) car.
I have however applied for a 0% 15 month M&S card to pay for it with, does that excuse the spending ?

Tabatha - I'm on BT's evening and weekend plan. Their evening starts at 7pm.......used to be 6pm - I've had to put a note by the phone as often I walk in the house after work and think 'Oh I'll just ring....'

That just strikes me as a horrid money making ploy on there part. It has always been 6pm. Good plan to have a system in place to thwart it.

    Today I have:

    * Brought lunch to work, made DH pack up too.
    * Dug a pair of new shoes out of the cupboard that have been sitting there for two years and am no finally wearing them.
    * Dinner tonight is from stores.
    * Got beef out of the freezer this morning to prepare tonight to go in SC for tomorrow.

Was going to have a NSD, but courtesy car needed petrol (only put a fiver in) and DH is working from home tomorrow (due to stress) so I promised him I would pick up some white bread and sausages for him to have breakfast in the morning - this will come out of my personnal weekly spend budget rather than the food budget as its a treat).

The advantage of DH being at home tomorrow means he can switch the SC on in the afternoon for me and I don't have to worry about dinner cooking to death by being on too many hours!
