I'm going to start looking at the ground more too - what shall we call it - penny gazing?
Thank you Curlygirl11971 - have never heard of Shopper Thoughts - am going to try and sign up!:T (oh :-( - just tried - I need an activation code - *sniff*)
I've had a very good weekend in terms of mortgage stuff....
- Decreased term of mortgage yesterday (completely free to change up or down the term - which shocked me as I thought there would be an admin charge at least!) - so I can now OP more due to the 5% limit on my OP per year. Now only  (officially!) 10 years 8 months left (was officially 22 years 5 months) - going to OP as much as we can to bring this down!
- Shopandscan - 1100 points for upload
- Washed car (apparently a clean car does more mpg as its more streamline - mine was filthy!)
- Sold item on ebay - OP £15 to mortgage
- OP £20 to mortgage - just because.......
- Used Amex card for shopping - then paid it off so gained points - also used 8 hour slot from Asda so only £2.50 delivery fee!
- Used M&S card for parts for freezer - then paid it off so gained points!
- Went out for virtually free meal to Cafe Rouge thanks to Clubcard deals
- Looked around the shops....but didn't buy any clothes or shoes....I think I am getting old and sensible!:D0 -

Im torn between looking like a stingy git for his entertainment and feeding the mortgage pig !
Take advantage of his foolishness!0 -
low (ish) spend weekend!!
nothing spent yesterday as at a wedding which was lush!! think mrtyo bought a couple of drinks but other than that soft drinks which were provided and had designated driver in mrtyo so no money spent there either!plus was a lovely day so all warm and glowy as a result!
only bought cheap milk and a big pack of crisps which go out of date yesterday (posh ones down from 1.99 usually to 29p today!)
Now have vouchers for a good few bits so will wander and get all of these on my "shopping" trips to town in lunch breaks- at least then I will feel Ive shopped without spending much!
have ordered an OWL monitor for my parents which I will borrow off them when they are done- its free!
nothing much else- did use tumble dryer but for much shorter cycle than usual-shouldve stuck things on line really but we have no pegs! - must buy some...0 -
Tabatha I would have to collect them, then buy something lovely and waft under his face and make him feel an absolute fool.
I am never lucky enough to find coins on the street. I still look down though to avoid all the dog mess. Not nice walking round here.
Today i've:- caught up on some sleep by having a great lie in - will provide me with enough energy to tackle the new week.
- been to mums to do some gardening - kids used their loo, ate snacks there, and we had some cuppas. Fair reward for the tree chopping i feel.
- I've caught up on some opinions on Tol, and written a new poll. No new surveys today though.
- done some rating on dooyoo. Not felt like writing a survey tonight though did write one on the site last night and wrote two into word for products i suggested.
- saved electric by not ironing DSs school uniform. I am still tired and can't be bothered. I am more slummy than yummy mummy lol.

Nothing new today
* Free breakfast & Free Lunch (badgirl) at work today
* Charging phone at work (and laptop to watch iplayer later!)
* Using Nectar Search bar
* Adhering to strict shopping list at Tescos later not looking left or right just to get cottage cheese and fruit and that's it m'laud.
* Have worked out that current petrol will last until Wednesday
* Meal out of freezer for dinner0 -
Today so far:
* cycled to job centre and back, saving parking/travel costs (but was then so hungry I bought a pastieto eat before cycling home... and a drink. Will take a lunchbox to the next appt!)
* arranged for my interview in London to not be in the morning so I can travel off-peak, saving some money
* got only the cheese I needed in Mr S and some tom. puree and resisted other goods.
* rated someone on dooyooDebt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Today I have:
* earnt 10p on onepoll
* worked hard at worky work
* no lunch for us to take in, but went to cheap canteen linked to my work and had freshly made leek and potato soup with roll for £1.12. Near where I work is all fancy places, so a lot cheaper than other options!
* tried to win an innocent veg pot, but failed
* dinner from freezer (pork cassoleut, yum yum!)
* chased up valuators (AGAIN), and have valuation for remortgage booked for Thursday
* had several compliments on my vintage missoni-esque £5 dress (never worn before)
Off home now, plan to move boxes out of office into our new storage cupboards so we can declutter books on the shelves behind them (and hopefully find some worth selling!). Plus a decluttered house will look like it is worth more to a valuator (I try to convince myself!)Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

A little late but here goes. This weekend I have:
Done the weekly meal plan and shopping within the usual budget using my 5% discounted re-loadable Sainsbobs card.
Up to £29.50 on Onepoll.
Washing hung out instead of tumble dryer - almost dry too - just needed overnight on the airer.
No heating on, however the fire has been in all weekend & all day today. Was hoping I would still have some anthracite left in the bunker ready for next winter but I dont think thats likely !
DH has been window shopping for a new (old) car, so we have applied for a m&s 0% for 15 months. This would mean that the money we have saved towards the new car can stay where it is for a while longer. Obviously this will be dependant on us negotiating no extra charges from the dealer for paying by card. It just gives us another option when the right deal comes along.0
