homemade lunches all week this week at work. Used my Mooncup. Used 7 x resusable nappies on DS (current total usage = 22, saving £2.20 in disposable costs).0

Made a loaf in breadmaker.
Heated water from solar panels.
Sold a jar of chutney.0 -
Absent but behaving myself, £8 added to the S&S ISA pot each day this week so far0

Homemade lunches for work again, also where possible I'm making extra at dinner and having it at lunch the following day so only one set of fuel/time costs for cooking/washing.
Also want to do at least 10 dinners over the next 2 weeks out of storecupboard food - so far I'm at 3/30 -
- £8 to S&S ISA pot yesterday
- £13 to S&S ISA pot today
- £1.50 to Emergency Fund today
- HM meals every day this week (although we did go out for an ice cream yesterday)
Have also started a small continegency fund because the stock markets don't seem particularly happy. Hoping to drop in a lump sum as/when we see a 5% drop.0 -
- £9 to S&S ISA pot
- Made £25 from free spins offers
- Made £8 from a matched bet
- Was very naughty and spent £50 on lunch for us, was a bit spendy as it has been a successful weekend

8/8 so far of storecupboard dinners. Well, ok, I spent 15p on some reduced rice noodles but I'm going to let that slide, especially as the pack has been split over 3 meals0

I dread to think what it would look like if I made a store cupboard meal - lentils with anchovies and hot chocolate?
- £9 to S&S ISA pot
- Should make c. £40 in matched bets today
- Made my lunch, although I did buy a 4 pack of fair trade biscuits for £1 to tide me over, bean salad can be a little light

hmm towards the end of the cupboard the meals can get a little...odd.... I end up simply having a balanced plate of food groups rather than items that particularly go together
Or quite a few meals of this which is delicious, easy, quick, cheap, filling AND saves well in the fridge for tomorrow. What more could you ask of a recipe!?
But the cupboard is full, the food budget is £200 this month for 4 of us (including 2 very fussy eaters and a cat) so there you go, the money must not be spent!0 -
That's quite ambitious, we're currently budgeting £195 for two!
Do you find that economies of scale come into play when you're feeding the family (i.e. a 5kg sack of potatoes doesn't cost much more than 2.5kg etc.)?0
