  • We received a cheque for £41.25 from the DVLA today - tax disc refund for OH's old car. He has changed jobs recently and all the expenses for his new car come out of the generous car allowance so the refund becomes an OP :)

    £5.37 from Topcashback redeemed

£60 from Quidco for car insurance

Filled up the car at Sainsbury's, scanned Nectar card, paid with Nectar Amex for more points & checked tyre pressure while I was there as they were a bit low.

Used a £3.33 price guarantee voucher in Asda :D.

Collected a £5 loyalty voucher from Mr M petrol station :D.

    So that's a £8.33 op on its way :D.

35p on Onepoll (thanks for reminder Ammonite :)), £2.20 to payout :D.

Went online to do it and found £5 Halifax payment in, so dizzying heights of £13.33 paid :rotfl:. Funnily enough it didn't knock a month off end date though :o.

Good morning all. This is my first time on the MSE forums. I have been very impressed by all your mortgage free goals and thought it would be a good time to start to tackle mine. So here are my efforts for today.

    Lunch to work
A sort of all the kitchen cupboards to see what's lurking at the back and hopefully keep this weeks shopping bill down.

Welcome Daisychain and good luck :)

Well, I'll be saving a fair bit today - around £30 on diesel, snacks and pub as off work sick with a cold so no 130 mile round trip, also miss last choir of the year and session to pub :(

  • Today I have submitted my expenses:

    232 miles @ 45p/mile = £104.40

I'll use £44.40 to fill the car up and the remaing £60 will be an OP :)

    - Got some posh 2 pack bread rolls from Aldi yesterday for work lunches, half price at 20p each in the bargain bin. All now in freezer :)

Topped up mobile on Giffgaff for the first time since March. It's been the best thing ever switching from 3 last year; I've probably spent about £40 on top up since the start of the year. If i'd still been on 3 this would have been about £120.

Sold a Jimmy Choo make up mirror and gift bag which came with perfume I bought at duty free last month on Ebay for £5 and £4 respectively.
